@@missbackwoods When you have hair like mine you have the choice between being a living triangle or having layers. If I didn't have layers (like until I was 13 - sad time) my hair would be almost flat on the head (because the lenght makes it heavy) and then very voluminous and curly on the bottom (like the width of my shoulders !) So yeah, for some people it's useful and others not :)

trying this out right now I'm hoping it works when I take the bun out I get rather miffed that my hair doesn't hold curls unless its come out of a damp plat but even then its more tight waves, your hair seems to be a similar length to yours thanks for your help!

If you need to help set the curls better I just saw another video where you can put a bit of conditioner in your hair to help it hold. Haven't tried this yet but thought it might be of interest as it's an alternative to hair-spray which you might want to use.
