I originally found you because of your old sock bun video! You changed my life, for real! ♥ Specially when I'm too lazy to put my hair in a proper bun for my ballet class x) It's also my go-to hairstyle everytime I wake up too late...

Thank you so much for redoing your rolling method! I tried your old way once, and gave up because of what a pain it was. Thank you for showing me a new way! I will definitely try it again.

Omg .. Life has just been changed tonight learning about the sock bun .. I had been teasing my VERY long hair and then taking it piece by piece and curling and tucking it and pinning then moving onto next strip of hair and so on .. It looks good but yu are pinned so tight and then yu have to brush out the teasing .. This is SOOOOO much better!!? Where have i been??? Under a rock!? Thankyou!! :)

Hi! I have the thickest hair in the world and very long too, so I have always had troubles creating buns. Since I don't want to use heat or too many hair accesories, I just could't do a nice or a messy bun. Your method is the first which works for me!! It leaves me a huuuge bun and it look gorgeous, so thank you many many times for this tutorial :)

Thank you for the layer tip at the end. I have multiple layers that drive me crazy when trying to do the sock bun. I'm going to give it a go with your new method. Also the pantyhose might work better too! I have super thick hair. I was excited when I saw you uploaded! Thanks!!

Great tip with the hose for super long hair! I have layers myself and I secure the top and bottom with Goody's spin pins. So glad I chanced upon your first sock bun video last month because I always wear my hair up (kinda messy) but your sock bun version is neater and more polished. My husband loved my curls today and insisted that I don't put my hair up while malling. Cheers Lucy!

I wear my hair this way several nights a week, not just because I love the curls it creates, but it keeps my hair from getting frizzy with damage cause by rubbing against the pillow. This has actually prevented my ends from splitting as soon as they used to. I am so thankful for your sock bun video. I think this was the first video of yours that I ever watched. And, I come back and watch this again from time to time, because all of a sudden I can't get it to work again, and I realize that I was forgetting that I need to keep my hair pulled taught as I'm twisting.

I used this sock bun method of yours for the past two years lol But as my hair grew longer and is very thick, my bun started to look bigger than my head :D I cut it short last winter, but it grows so fast, so I might start to wear this look again very, very soon. I didn't use the sock though, I used a leg warmer :) It's more stretchy and comfortable, especially when you sleep with it. And it stays on firmly. Thanks for the update!

YES! This way is sooo much easier :D By the way, I have long curly hair and I found it easier for me to make a ponytail with an elastic first, then do the bun instead of just looping my hair through the sock. I hope that helps someone else because it made a huge difference for me.

Thank you! Your method worked much better than the other way, especially since I have layers. Though I did find that for me at least an old (CLEAN! lol) pair of nylon tights worked better. I just cut it off at the longest part and the very edge of the toe. It end up a tiny bit fuller and gives you more to wrap your hair around. Again thanks!
