Having decided to sell it off, this is my farewell to my Model:Samples. It seems funny to say, but it really does feel I have gone on a journey with this fella, and part of me will miss this little box, curious how we can form emotional attachments to objects
It was my introduction to the elektron workflow, and a big source of frustration for a long time, yet when whizzing around the interface for this final jam I could see how far i'd come, a lot of the workflow felt like second nature now. However, at one point, after accidentally deleting a pattern, basically a mornings worth of messing about, I was taken back to the original pain haha
So here it is, the final beat, fittingly chill lofi, I will miss you little guy.

It's a bit melancholic seeing the stickerless Model:Samples, almost like it's saying goodbye. The sounds seem even more poignant. Thanks for the last Model:Samples JAM!

Sounds very nice! I like that reverb you added near the end. It brought the track into another dimension for a moment. It’s hard to let go of gear. I’ve had the same conflicting feelings. But I hope it’s a good change, you become even more comfortable with what you have, and somebody else can benefit from the M:S.

After I'd added the reverb spontaneously I wonder now how many last jams I could've taken into the other dimensions haha yeh it is hard to say goodbye, but better than it collecting dust, thanks mate!

Super skillful jam! I like the pacing and space in this one, a good note to send off on! Every instrument offers something unique and after countless hours spent with each one it's understandable that it's a complex relationship 😁

Imo the most annoying thing about the model series is the implementation of the chords, having to pick it out from a menu instead of being able to play them straight 😂 they should have also just put a battery in it.. it's so light and portable otherwise it's a shame.. great jam as always, I still love the cycles , don't know if I'll ever get rid of it !

You mean on the cycles yeh? At least you got chords lol and yes! How good wild an internal battery have been? I remember once jamming away on the MS at a motor dealership waiting for my car to get serviced, I was well into an awesome jam when I accidentally pulled out the power cord 🫠 haha thanks mate!
