It's practically religious experience to type on this board. Somehow it's a creamy thock while being a low-profile keyboard. Don't bother with other low-profile keyboard unless you fancy having to return them when you try out the Lofree Flow. Yeah, you can thank me later.

For the quality of the typing action and sound, this is the BEST low profile keyboard you can buy. It's just so plush. Better than the rattlier Nuphy Air v2 in terms of typing action. A few recommendations to improve it further though: 1. The linear switches feel nicer than the tactile ones. Softer and plusher feeling. I have both switches and much prefer the linears. 2. Get the XVX 'Normcore' low profile shine through keycaps. They make a MASSIVE difference to the keyboard backlighting because the key legends are shine though.

Great tip on the shine through options - I’ll check this out.

O rings make things feel mushy, especially on low profile keycaps.
@Qichar
@Qichar 8 ай бұрын
I got some great keycaps from XVX for this keyboard. However, I'm still using the stock caps today. The reason is because, although the body of the caps themselves are the same height, the stock caps actually have shorter stems. If you put the XVX caps on and push them down all the way, you can see they sit higher than the stock caps. And that brings us to the other problem, the one that keeps me from using the XVX caps. The problem is that the XVX fit too snugly on the switch. The stock caps fit loosely and come off easily. The XVX caps are so snug that I can't pull them off the board without the switch also coming off with them. This made me terrified I would break my board and/or switches. And that would be tragic, because I've never had such an amazing typing experience on a low-profile keyboard. So yeah, the XVX shine-through keycaps look great, but because they have slightly taller stems the sound is ever so slightly worse (less thocky) than the stock caps. That, and the risk of breaking the board is too much for me.

I love this keyboard so much that I am eagerly awaiting the V2. I want a set with the linear switches (I currently have the tactile), and I want to swap out the keycaps with shine-through keycaps (I already own the perfect set, but I don't want to put them on my tactile Lofree Flow because the stems are too tall and tight.)

I know that sound 😄… I tried to get a separate board that more closely resembles the soft touch almost silent one on my laptop 💻 and needed the numbers in calculator form on the right. Picked up something from Amazon but not as fancy as this or ones on your channel.

The Melgeek one I featured last week has a silent switch option which sounds 👌🏻…the feel isn’t half as nice as these Lofree ones though.

The Logitech MX Mechanical Mini and the Lofree Flow84 arrange the RHS keys top-to-bottom as Home / End / Pg Up / Pg Dn. The Nuphy Air75 V2 and Keychron K3 Pro arrange them reverse: Pg Up / Pg Dn / Home / End. Lofree you are stuck with as-is, except to use third party key mapping tools. Logitech you can use the Logi Options+ to remap, but that only works on Mac and Windows. No Linux support. The Nuphy and Keychron can use VIA to remap. I'd rather have the Pg Up / Pg Dn on the top, like Nuphy and Keychron. This is ironic. The keyboards that have the keys arranged the way I like it support VIA and can remap any way you want. The keyboards that have it how I don't want it don't have VIA support. Argh!!!! I think key remapping is more important on 75% keyboards because there is less industry standard around arrangement than full sized keyboards.

Hi - Thanks for the video. I am really stuck between ordering the Nuphy Air 75 with Cowberry or Brown Switches and the LoFree Flow. I prioritize typing experience I like some push to the keys but don't need clack - more pleasant thock- if that makes sense. All things being equal with price and not caring about customization beyond hot swappable keys- which would you recommend? Thanks!

I'm looking for a real creamy thocky low profile keybaord that has a volume wheel on it to quickly adjust volume in a split second (need Function keys but don't need a number pad). I’d only get the 84 key if you’re going to be sticking it in a backpack and taking it around with you. If it’s living on your desk, get the 100-key option - keeps the aesthetic and also gives plenty of options for different use cases.
