Yeah Buddy, that looked like some tough work! You had some great help with their own equipment! That's a big part done! I knew you could do it! Have a great weekend! 😉👍

I did not remember this was going to have a basement. You are doing a great job and holy heck that was a lot of cement bags!!

Thank you! Yes I went back and forth on how I wanted to do the foundation and in the end I think the full basement made the most sense!

Doing awesome I love working alone. You have alot of concrete to mix😮. Just a heads up your forms look like they may move a little and where your jumps are you should mix that a bit stiffer. Good luck man you're doing great.
@DemasiLogCabin4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, my forms need a little more tamping and stake work which will happen next week. And that’s a great tip on a drier mix near the steps! I hadn’t thought of that. But great idea
@Charles-xq6mr4 ай бұрын
Ok, you're mixing your own concrete!! Wow big job!! I think you're going to need more water!! Lol !! So, when you get this finished is it going to be your permanent residence? Good luck with the pour, can't wait to see how it goes!!
@DemasiLogCabin4 ай бұрын
That’s the plan! 😬we will see what happens next weekend! You’re right, need more water! I have another 200 gallon tank at home I just bought, I’ll lug that up to the build next week. And I’ll have to have my wife refill one when I use the other on concrete pour day! Not sure if we will live there yet or not, depends on a few factors. Time will tell!

Forgot to tell you about the rocks. I think they fall out of the sky at night. Just my experience at picking rocks out of the fields. Some get marked with flags for the backhoe.

Great progress mate. Question: How do you know where your frost line falls? Or is it just a good guess?
@DemasiLogCabin4 ай бұрын
Thank you! They have frost line regional maps that are general, but they say locally to talk with inspectors for best practice.
