You are such a blessed man… health, freedom and a great helper. Don’t forget to thank her… I am in the middle of restoring my third house and I had to do it all alone while working a full time job and raising 3 children… I am now 60 and I am just tired… nothing to enjoy, only pain at the end of the day, and burning at night.

I have seen that mixer and works great. It will cut pouring time well over half do remember it costs $2500. Keep it clean and clean after every use an d then when your done you can resell it and get some of your mi]money back. Can not wait until next week to see the start of the pour. Props to Mamma for coming and helping with eh hard labor work.

@douglasthompson2740

Stacking the bags straight up is asking for a collapse (probably at the worst time). Criss cross them as they originally were on the pallets. It is called "tying" the stack and immensely increases the stability.
@DemasiLogCabin
@DemasiLogCabin Ай бұрын
If I was going to stack for any significant time I would have restacked them the same way they were originally stacked on the pallet. But since I will be using them shortly I’ve stacked them in the most convenient way I could figure to get them in the mixer. Thanks for the comment.

I have heard people say that if you drive metal rebar into dirt it could rust and the rusting rebar will negatively effect the cement. If you use fiberglass rebar that won't happen.
@DemasiLogCabin
@DemasiLogCabin Ай бұрын
I have also seen that, I only drove the spikes into the dirt for running string lines, the j bar rebar for the wall is tied into the horizontal rebar for exactly the reason you stated.

That’s a good question, I hope we can keep this one, but a lot of factors play into it. We will have to see when we get closer to the end.
@icrewheloso8588
@icrewheloso8588 Ай бұрын
Working with rebar you just have to overlap a certain distance. No need to bend any thing. Corners make no difference just overlap from the other direction. Good luck on the pour. Verticals just pound them next to you horizontals into the ground and tie them to the horizontals.
@DemasiLogCabin
@DemasiLogCabin Ай бұрын
I’ve seen a debate about having the rebar in the ground. It will rust and bring water into the concrete and rust the rebar out prematurely.

@@DemasiLogCabin by the looks of his soil it should not be aproblem. He should put a drain around it anyway if he is using it as a crawl space.

Have you tried asking eco-flo, jackery, or one of the others about sponsoring you with a solar generator system?
@DemasiLogCabin
@DemasiLogCabin Ай бұрын
Bluetti did send me a small solar setup last year. I use it to power my battery tools which had been pretty helpful, but it isn’t large enough for the higher drawing tools. But it’s a good idea, maybe if my channel gets a little bigger
