Your dad is correct. Not sure if cord will ignite but coiling the extension cord will create an inductor which is an impedance to alternating current. Maybe no fire but a definite inefficiency.

James, just a tip when installing your strapping on your rafters. Don’t make your joint (where your two lengths of strapping meet) on the same rafter all the way up the roof. Offset the joints. You can have the joint on the same rafter every second row of strapping, and then two joints every second row of strapping. Think of it like stacking bricks. Provides much greater strength. That’s the best way I can describe it. Not a big deal on a wood shed, but a good habit to get into. Love the channel. You’re doing a great job !!!

Also when you go to store your tracks , lay them on there side , pop boogie wheel caps off , dry out any moisture with rag , then put tiny bit of oil just enough to coat side of bearing , leave them sit for a few hours , pop your caps on , then flip over and repeat on other side , the oil is basically just to keep the rust out , and your bearings will last longer , as a atv tech I’ve seen guys who use them only in snow and they’ve got 9 years no issues

@ I think once you have hit Like the thumbs up turns black. If you watch again, it will still be black. However watching 3 times definitely increases the number of views which is just as important. You should put your starlink dish on the roof with the pole mount you can get from starlink shop. It doesn't need to be under a roof it's designed to be in the open, rain and snow is no problem. Hi James!! So glad that you’re back👏. I feel that I have missed a good friend and co-worker so welcome back 2025! I have learned so much from your videos even when you are silly. I even went back to see Episode #1 recently. I saw things that I had missed so it was a good refreshing course! I can’t wait to see your recapping video soon from 2023-2024. 😊

You should pack the trail. Attach to the rear of atv either triangle piece of wood to act as a plow or just piece of 4x4 or 6x6 and drive across. That's what the guys do for our MTB trails in winter.

I really like your channel you show learning and mistakes. I think you need a storage/shop area to store your tools. If I were you do the gym structure last. That way you get your exercise while making all the other stuff you need. All that snow and a tent won't handle the snow load, and you can't do much without tools. I also seen a guy make his own trail groomer you can pull it behind your ATV. It's a set of grates with spaces to cut snow high areas and it fills in the low😊. I like the history you mentioned too. Oogabooga!

An awesome show as usual. Ive watched you from Nov 2023. I keep imagining if you had snow like this last year during the early stages. You might have been in that tent when it collapsed. Thank goodness you now have the warm cabin ❣️

I don’t know if this would make moving snow easier in the future. But that chunky bottom snow on your firewood shed deck, if you were to cut it like how Luke with the Outdoor Boys cuts snow blocks for his shelters, it may save you time and energy. Just food for thought. Love the great videos!

Isn't Tiger Balm/BenGay, Vicks Vaporub, or newer warming creams, anything with camphor or mentholated creams a bad thing to use if going out into cold temps?? Like alcohol, due to them making you feel warmth that isn't actually helping and a possible risk for hypothermia or frostbite? We always washed Vicks off our chests before going out in the cold. I've not looked into using muscle creams or the newer "warming" creams.

Thanks again for another excellent video James!!! 👍🏻 Just one thing (forgive me?) ,the war of 1812 wasn’t us. Canada wasn’t Canada until 1867, it wasn’t until then we started making our own decisions, so, before that we were a British colony. Consequently, the war of 1812 wasn’t us, it was the British. It was the British who burned down the white house. Wasn’t us at all really. Thanks again eh! Your videos are my Saturday morning cartoons!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Canadians enjoy the story though so happy to let them have it. White house wasn't the white house then either truly. It was much more modest.

What you called a hammer drill is an impact driver, it’s meant for driving in screws, nuts or bolts. The drill you have should have a hammer drill function. Hammer drill works for drilling holes but mainly concrete. Sorry had to correct

James, when discussing the trail/snow clearing it would be ‘dressing’ the surface? (I’m a UK viewer and using the term ‘grooming’ has a totally different connotation here) Side note, every time you say praise Odin, you get one of my Huskies attention… his name is Odin 😂 Ooga Booga!
@skmarrama
@skmarrama 13 күн бұрын
Grooming here is common terminology with snow. The ski resorts will groom the snow runs overnight for the next day. It smooths out the grooves and divots. But it definitely does have different meanings depending on where you live.
