@@aafjeld Stossaxt or Stichaxt is the german Name and it is mainly used by Timberframers for paring the Surface of Joints.

Pretty interesting video! What weight do your Wideaxe-Heads have and about what price do these hand forged axes come? Greetings from 🇩🇪
@aafjeld7 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! The lightest ones we use weigh 2kg and the heaviest is 2,7kg. Prices may vary from EUR 250 to EUR 500, the heaviest one in this video is about EUR 350 😊🤝

Thanks for your nice video. 😊 In Germany a Sikkøks has the Name Stichaxt. An there are still some companys which produce them. For example Ochsenkopf and Kirschen. But I've not experience you how good they are. 😅

In English, we call it a "broad axe" rather than a "wide axe." But I think everyone will understand what you mean. Also, we would call the "stick axe" a "mortise axe," I believe. Is it possible to order a Norwegian style bile axe from North America?
@aafjeld7 ай бұрын
Yes of course, broad axe is the right name! I have even used that name earlier myself, but somehow I did not think of it while making this video. Thank you for your feedback! I have also heard the term «bisaigue» for the mortise axe, but that is probably a term used in other countries. I belive that is possible, you should try reaching out to Norheimsmia - I think they ship worldwide on request 🪓

good afternoon, colleagues! I have been producing such houses since 2002. Last year I closed this production. I still have some tools - axes, etc. Norwegian production. might anyone be interested?

The translation is very poor regarding the axes, they call them trucks? And cars. Someone should inform them!
