The thing that drew me to quilting to begin with is the cultural history. This video is such a great match of practical craft and fascinating history! Really cool to build up a design that is so rich in it

Log Cabin was the first quilt I made years ago with my friend. I need to make one again.

I love your emphasis on economical. I must be frugal, so I appreciate any tips, tricks and strategies. Wasting anything is a pet peeve of mine. I guess that makes me rather focused on thrifty and wise. I have taken apart garments, tablecloths, napkins, aprons, etc. to be thrifty and creative.

I'd have never thought of putting those two colour ways in your blocks together - but the combination is stunning

Eleanor, our Friday Bee is doing a challenge in 2022 to display at our quilt show in Sept 2022 in Manassas VA. I've been obsessing over this amazing pattern, watching all the videos on KZbin, and after seeing a hundred, yours came into my search. Amazing history, and I so enjoyed your video. Are you on fb?, I would love to have more chat w you, I'm just getting started on Instagram.
