Did the LDW this summer and it sure was a blast! Really nice video. Particularly enjoyed the music :) I am looking into the BC Epic 1000 for next year. Will go have a look at your video series. Cheers from Montreal! 🚴♂️🚴♂️

Between all my videos you'll get a good view of the route. I like riding it backwards (westward). But you miss the comradely of the mass start and cool people.

The Grand Depart had about the same amount of water! A big thanks again to Eric and Jen, this route is really amazing!

Yeah, from looking at peoples pictures, didn't look any drier.

It was a nice change of scenery and pace ~ I used to live in Ontario for a while & rode many of those areas, it was a nice vacation - even it was rainy.

H2OH! Have you heard of Trenchfoot? When I rode around Haida Gwaii I just wore Gore-Tex socks in my Shimano sandals all the time. Excellent photography and production, as usual. You inspire me.

Oh yeah.... 3 days of wet feet makes them pretty wrinkly... mind you, they did dry out every night. I've spent other trips with wet feet for weeks. Really does suck.

I'm a forestry worker and it's a real job hazard for me. One thing that's worked for me is NRS Boundary Socks with the hydro cuff leg gasket.

Another excellent video as always. For Chamois Cream, I bought some flip top oval bottles from Litesmith. I use them for my toiletries too. I wrote on the bottle what is inside. That way I carry what I need, and don't have the extra waste of the disposable containers.

I need to do more "pre packing" like that. At least the Chamois Butter packs are 100% biodegradable. Better than most things we find these days.

@@SaltyBeard_Adventures I did not know that about their single packs. I wish I saw more of that.

Yeah we've had crazy amounts of rain in the east this year. The bugs are loving it! I'm waiting for a better weather window for my next pedal adventure.

Nah... but funny enough, I had picked up some cheap crushable boat shoes for this trip, the day before. I did say "cheap" / the seam at the back cut my skin instantly on my Achilles on my first walk - ouch - I tried everything to scrub, scuff, grind, and cut the little sharpness away, but to no avail, they still dug in. Must have been some little plastic bits or something. I tossed them before getting on the flight. LOL

sounds like a plan.. I"ll put it on my idea board for this summer. Thanks for the suggestion.

Why not put the socks on your handlebars and pedal barefoot until they’re dry?

Have you tried to pedal barefoot, off road on clip-less pedals? NOT

@@SaltyBeard_Adventures lol, no i have no idea just watching videos to learn before i get a bike and give it a go. I just know wet feet are not healthy feet i might carry options? Go gentle, i am a novice, almost lol

Hey Salty, do you carry a personal GPS communicator? If so what type do you prefer?
