Hi friend. Tell me please be sure to use wenge on top. Does it sound better? Or you can replace it with conifers, birch?

I dream to collect this, but in Russia there is no wenge.

It's a matter of preference. Wenge has a SHORT SUSTAIN - I think it sounds more "tribal," which is what I very much like. I have never heard of of birch being used for the top, so not sure how it would sound. Each wood produces a different sound, some more resonant than others.

the logdrums are pre-tuned at the factory. the 60D85 has the lowest tone (d-f-g-a-c'-d'-f'-g'). Other models are the 60101, 60C80, 60P82 and the 45061. www.schlagwerk.com/en/products/tuned-percussion/log-drums
