Enjoyed riding along with you , should try centenary bikeway and if your life insurance allows it Ipswich motorway bikeway , which comes complete with ambush points for kids with golf clubs and aborigines with steel posts , to be fair ive ridden it hundreds of times and ive only had thise two memorable moments

Thanks Paul.... yeah, I've got the Centenary Bikeway on the list coming up. The Ippy Bikeway is also on the list.... I'll see if I can time it right so that I come across those golf club wielding kids and aboriginals with make-shift weapons. I'll send out an appointment schedule or something.... should make for interesting content. :)

Interesting to see how it's done on the south side, had a good chuckle! The Moreton Bay Rail Cycleway is worth a look if you need a relaxing ride to decompress after your Springwood bikeway adventure!

@@jelbuilderfilms Sorry mate I meant the Rail cycleway - it's that 13km leg from Petrie station to Kippa ring station - seems to have motion sensor lights that light up randomly at night! It's 4.5 stars (out of 5) if you ask me

The bit that bugs me the most is the Kingston train overpass; you know the 'way' follows kingston/beenleigh road for ages; then suddenly : Train - whoops, we can't possibly cross that - Quick! turn the bikeway up Jacaranda St. The only way to continue along Kingston Rd, is to cross to the east, then, go over the train-station overpass, then several backstreets and return to the road. The stupid overpass was built in what - 1976?! and Still there is no direct way for a bicycle or pedestrian to follow Kingston Rd.

100% I should have focussed on that and made mention of it.... that is like literally the stupidest thing on this crazy bikeway, to go over the train-station overpass to Mary St.... crazy stuff. And that Kingston Rd overpass is so tight and narrow, in my opinion too dangerous for cyclists - I've done it before but felt literally my life was on the line!

NIce Ride About Mate, When I Lived In Manado Indonesia I used To Be On The Radio 5 Days A Week. My Wife's Cousin Was The main DJ There In Manado And We Became Good Mates, So I Would Call In Everyday During The last Half hour Of the Show And Make People Laugh, The People Of Manado Would Call In And Ask me Questions And Laugh At My Indonesia, Great Memories There.

Love it! My stomping ground as well. I ride that F^&%$ing hill every day coming home from work. I do enjoy the 50+K ride down in the morning. And yes it is a wild ride, I have done it a time or to myself, even had a big mac; did not spot you. Must have been your day off. I did Wulkuraka to Lowood and back Sunday just gone, now that was a good ride. Cup of Joe on top of a hill. Just the ticket. Thanks for the content.

Thanks mate... I've had numerous falls and crashes on downhill Mtb trails attempting something risky, but never riding amongst cars on roads. Although my riding appears dicey in parts on some sections, I honestly value my safety and take nothing for granted. The greatest danger is always from behind over which I have no control, but I do my best to read other road users and to make sure they see me, and make calculated risks if safe enough. At least, that's my theory of it all. 😁

Who the hell is / was Larry Storey? Why do all the bridges everywhere no matter how good or bad, big or small, have to be named after someone? Interesting video!

From what I understand, Good old Larry Storey actually was the driving force behind rebuilding the Waterford Bridge after it was swept away by floods in 1947. He worked for Main Roads at the time and basically got things moving. When the new bridge was completed in 1954, good old Larry was there driving the Opening Committee, along with 3000 other people that rocked up to witness the opening that reconnected Waterford and Bethania. Our it could just simply be called, the Waterford Bridge😁

That's not a bikeway! When you have to ride on the verge of busy roads fot 60% of it, cross lots of busy intersections with no proper crossing and ride on foot paths! Sounds like you really love your home town of Logan!

I can't believe LCC actually promote that as a bicycle route. Who comes up with this rubbish. If I was riding from Beenleigh to Underwood I definitely wouldn't be using that route!

Tell me about it! I've got two more videos to pump out on two more bikeways they promote... the Springwood Bikeway and the Shailer Park Bikeway. We'll see if they are any better.... I don't hold any high hopes 🙄

@@jelbuilderfilms Ive ridden a bit around there and I'd be going across the M1 at Logan St, then down behind the soccer club on to the bikeway to Holmview Rd then Grove, Castille and Ivanhoe. Misses the big hill and that suicidal roundabout. Just have to hike a bike at the Holmview overpass.

I road this almost every day going from waterford west to springwood. Never had a problem with anyone on foot, had a bizaillion problems with cars. Too dangerous to keep doing it. Amazingly enough the dangerous incidentas were all government works: Got sqeezed by a clarks bus on railway drive. Got sandwitched between a parked car and LCC ute carrying a trailer. I kicked out at a car who cut a corner into the bikelane almost pedal striking me around trinder park only for it to be a police officer.... When I sent in the video.... no action taken because only a on duty officer can issue a traffic infringement notice. I didn't bother asking if they meant issuing me or the officer, but I got a $30 fine for not having a bell.
