I don’t get why people keep shitting on Lane’s life. She has the typical life of a small town girl what is wrong with that? She does manage to break free of her mom’s religious restraints and find her own person. I don’t want to spoil with the rest of it goes but if you really think about it, she gets a pretty damn good life better than a lot of people are having nowadays. Yeah she might not be a rockstar but the woman’s happy, and that’s better than most.

I don't think Logan cheated, but I do think he should have given Rory a heads up before she attended the wedding. Logans' sister called her and said she was sorry they'd broken up so Rory knew that from Logans' point of view they were fully broken up. To say that he cheated just because she doesn't like how he handled the break up, isn't really fair.

And he thought they broke up because Rory didn’t communicate shit to him, they never discussed the parameters of their “time out”. She was about to go on a date with an ex while he was traveling, tried to sell him off as an old friend when he caught them, Jess wasn’t innocent as he was trying to get with her (hell, Rory cheated on Dean with Jess and also slept with Dean when he was married). Then Logan was a jerk bc he was reacting to Jess who is an asshole always and she essentially told him his life is perfect when he always said to her he is trapped into a life he doesn’t want (Rory is a whole hypocrite about privilege as is Lorelai, they hate on the rich but they reap all benefits of the Gilmore name and money). They fought, she said she was done and didn’t want to go with him, and proceeded to not speak with him for two months. Of course he thought they were broken up, he never dated anyone before. She even said it herself it was a hiatus. Break or break up, she never discussed with him: “oh, we are on a break but we are still monogamous, we’ll talk in two months”. As for the girls, he was a little naive not warning her and if she had gotten mad about that instead of saying he cheated then I’d agree with her, I doubt he even realized the girls would tell her bc men are dumb. But I always find it funny how people hate on Logan for doing something Rory herself does repeatedly. And how Rory acts too later, when she punishes him using her position in the paper, a position she only got because he helped her save the edition lmao it was then I realized Mitchum was right about her.

Yeah, I definitely agree with the idea that Lorelai getting involved with Gigi was because she can't be involved with April and wants to be. Luke is her fiance, it's so ridiculous that she can't be around his kid. That must hurt a lot. And Chris' life will always be a space where she feels welcome. Even when he was with Sherry, she was still welcome in his life. She was at the hospital for Gigi's birth and she knows how important it is to Chris to "get it right this time" so it makes total sense she would intervene when she knows it isn't going well. And thank God for Gigi's sake that she did because maybe that kid will actually get some real parenting now 😅🤷🏻

@@katiepicard9186 I definitely agree with that, yes. ☺️ I also don't think that being able to see Lorelai's perspective is the same as vilifying Luke, so I hope I'm not a part of the "everyone" you're referring to with that ❤️🙏🏻❤️ A thing can be "ridiculous" (which was my choice of word there) and still be the correct course of action for all or at least some of the people involved. ☺️ Sometimes a situation itself is just what I would call ridiculous, as a whole, and that's not always somebody's fault. Finding out about a kid you never had is a pretty ridiculous scenario to find yourself in, just overall, at least I would say so. With that said, I'm not at all implying Luke should have made a different choice about who gets to spend time with his kid, that's totally his call (and Anna, April's mom's call, of course). 💯 full stop. However that doesn't change the fact that Lorelai gets to feel hurt about it. Especially since, from her perspective, Luke has always been allowed in Rory's life. In many ways, even more so than Christopher has been. So it makes sense to me that Lorelai would have a hard time understanding why the same isn't true about April right now. (And there's other things I would add here, in convo with someone who has seen the full show that I won't say now, being mindful of spoilers.) But yeah, I'm very much someone who tries to see every characters perspective. Just not necessarily always at the exact same time. Sometimes I'll rewatch the same scene multiple times (on separate rewatches) and I'll find myself seeing it from an entirely new perspective each time. Luke's perspective is just as valid as Lorelai's. So I apologize if I didn't make it clear that I was speaking from Lorelai's perspective here, not my own as a fan of the show ☺️🙏🏻❤️

That's also how I kind of feel about the Rory/Logan situation. Logan did truely believe they were broken up; However, the fact that he was sleeping with all of these women while simultaneously trying to win back Rory seems kind of shitty. Plus, the fact that he did not disclose that he had all of these relationships during their breif time apart when they got back together and especially before Rory walked into a room with the girls he was involved with makes it seem like he doesn't care about the consequences of his actions or how these actions might make Rory feel. Don't get me wrong, I think that Rory and Logan are a good match and I am a Logan defender, but I think he comes across as callous, spoiled, and immature in the last few episodes of this season.

Imagine you come back, find your girlfriend about to go to dinner with her asshole ex that she presents as a friend (the very ex she cheated on her first boyfriend with), then you have a fight, she essentially minimizes how awful your relationship with your father is, mocks you for being privileged when she is exactly the same (and it’s better, because her privileges come without strings), blames you for a decision she made alone and you supported despite knowing it was the wrong one, then she refuses to leave with you and completely ghosts you for two months. Yet she expected you to guess your break was not a break up and you were still exclusive during that time without communicating it. And this was your first relationship too.
