It’s such a shame that tears and showing compassion are so often viewed as evidence of weakness.
@DoremiFasolatido1979 Жыл бұрын
@@JohnWelsh-oz3jz Everything is a weakness...if you can exploit it. That's all anything really is...can you exploit it, or not? That's how all living things operate. Even cooperation works that way, but in a much less narrow way. It's all about who you can exploit, and how permitting yourself to be exploited can also be a gain for yourself. That's about as far as it all goes. Everything aside from it is bullshit window dressing our "higher" brain makes up to fill in any gaps and keep us going. And that's it. Sometimes you're the scorpion, sometimes you're the frog, and the only determining factor of which one you are at any time, is blind stinking luck. Every living thing will always try to be the scorpion when they can, though. Anything that doesn't...generally doesn't live. That said, none of that is rational. It's all instinct, not logic. And instincts distort perception, so everyone believes that emotions are the best solution to things like the problem of evil, when actually logic is the only viable path to true altruism and beneficence. But no living brain is capable of that. They're all hard-wired to be instinctive first, and then merely dress up the outcome to APPEAR complex and rational. But it never actually is. Consciousness doesn't exist. It's just a trick of perspective. Everything is a weakness, in a world of nothing but beasts...and humans are nothing but beasts. Nothing. At least...for now.

When this aired it felt like the end of an era Hugh Jackman was to Wolverine what RDJ and Chris Evans were to Iron Man and Captain America. So the movie felt more of Hugh’s initial swan song of leaving the role of Wolverine. An actor who brought to life such an iconic and well known character. It was so hard to watch knowing Logan’s past a man who suffered a lifetime of pain and loss only to see him so broken and at his lowest. The X-Men his family are dead, he is one of the last of his kind as mutants are all but extinct and he is wasting his life protecting the one person he still has left a senile and destructive Xavier. But in the end he fought not for himself and not for the death he craved after having so much of his life being pain but he fought for Laura, for the children for the hope they can survive in a worthwhile future. Logan has always been a soldier a warrior without purpose and he fought to end the organization that made him into the weapon he is so people like Zander could never use his abilities for evil again. And in his last moments comforting Laura as his life faded Logan was at peace knowing his legacy would be a positive one.

This is and end game are by far my favorite marvel films of all time. I value when a film can make you feel emotional, take you through things in your own life where you just can’t help but have a reaction. Logan had a very tragic and painful life, he struggled with not wanting to live for a good part of the end. But I’m glad he kept on. My father struggled with the same thing for a long time. Back in may we lost him to suicide. Whoever is out there and needs affirmation that you belong here, believe me right now you have so many things to live for, and people want you to be here. Just stick around please

As far as I was concerned, Logan was the end of the X-Men franchise. I know they had a few films after this one but in my opinion the saga concluded here. With Deadpool being sort of an epilogue! Same thing with avengers: endgame. If they would’ve ended the MCU there, I would’ve been fine.

The reason behind why he is old in this movie which shouldn't be possible as his regeneration ability won't let him age meaning he will live forever. This ain't happening because of the adamantium in his body. Its a toxic substance... so his body/power has been constantly healing himself from that toxicity. But with age(he is literally more than 200+ years old) his power has weakened hence the ageing and the inability to heal fast like he used to.

Easily Hugh Jackman’s best role and a role many love. Fun fact about Laura- her character wasn’t born from the comics but from the animated show X-Men Evolution. After Logan died she became the New Wolverine. Which it will be cool if Marvel decides to make a movie for her.

Small life hack with the sunglasses comment, wearing them while raining - if you have not overlay dark (and most important) polarised sun glasses, they actually make it easier to see in the rain as the polarisation reduces the incidence glare from the rain drops making them less visible. It's just a car, but with two back seats facing each other and a bit of extra leg room. For all the hype, it was quite normal and underwhelming. James Mangold made a nearly perfect film in my opinion. The writing is unbelievable, all the things he incorporated into this adaptation is mind blowing! One of my favorite creative decisions was to have Charles’ seizures cause his powers to injure people and kill mutants. He killed the X-Men and couldn’t remember, but before he dies he figures it out which is why he says to Logan (really X-24) “I think I finally understand you.” Logan had been trying to get the Sunseeker to keep Charles away from everyone and to hide the truth he knew would destroy the man who helped so many mutants in his lifetime. Family really was the theme of this film.

You see I’m an early 2000s kid and I remember at the time seeing the first X-Men movie and witnessing Hugh Jackman as wolverine at the time when I was a kid it was some of the most Dopest shit ever.
