LOGANAIR | Glasgow - Benbecula | Saab 340 | Trip Report | Full Flight

The thing that I love about Loganair is that the times are always consistent and they don't usually delay. As well as their goodie free snacks and drinks that they provide even on a short haul. The service is always excellent and I would pick Loganair over BA on short haul.

I spoke to someone who lives out on the islands and they said that ever since Loganair cut ties with Flybe, they have become more reliable which I thought was interesting.

Superb blog thanks, from my home in central Scotland I can sometimes hear aircraft overhead and then I check on flight radar to see what these are. The one that I never have to check is the Saab, it has a loud droning irritating noise that makes it clearly identifiable. So it was great to see the aircraft outside and inside that flies near my town regularly. Tks

Great report , need to try loganair , only flew their twotter and 340 up from Manchester when it was Flybe . Service was familiar , quite often people hate overfamilar ha

Hahaha....overfamiliar...yeah I guess there is a fine line 🤣🤣🤣 They've changed quite a bit since they cut ties with Flybe. People who fly them regularly are saying that they are more reliable now and less often delayed which I found interesting.

Nice little trip there. Have you ever done the Hebridean Air Service flights from Oban? I did the Oban-Islay-Colonsay trip the other day. If you think Benbecula airport is a shed just wait until you see Colonsay and especially the hut that HAS uses at Islay!

It was great. Noisy of course but worth the din. Not much chance of a laviator on the Islander though! Nice train ride to get there too. Stunning views on both train and plane, especially with the autumn colours.

Love this video! Love these propeller planes! I am surprised: 1) you got a complimentary snack for such a short flight 2) there is no sink in the toilet! I think I would freak out.... The interior looks quite smart. Those tartan headrest covers looked nice, but were they not too scratchy to lay your head on? Scotland is simply stunning 😄

It is such a joy flying with these old ladies (the planes that is). You know I am a sucker of props! Hahaha...I love it when you can head and feel the plane. The complimentary snack is a nice touch. It's just a biscuit and a drink but still - more than you get on any BA flight hahahaha. The loo was really funny. Besides the sink being missing, It was tiny. I could just about stand up straight. BUT...when sitting on the actual toilet....my feet were dangling! Hahahaha. I guess if you don't like wool, then they can be scratchy.....my mother would hate them! LOL

Yes, you are right! They use the same seat supplier which is Acro! I love these seats. I think they are so clever and reduce them do the bare minimum for what is needed.
