Try using marine-grade plywood. It’s more expensive, but it will withstand the wet environment much better.

Doing a good job but plywood would be much better. That OSB is little pieces of wood glued together and if water gets on it it swells up and comes apart. But treated plywood would have cost you probably 200 by itself. Should last another couple of years...looks nice 👍

what's the reason you put a deck on the back half for? I think next time you rebuild it use nice, treated plywood and have the back half without the deck and make it a nice area with some seats it would be just like a nice bass boat, and you would have an area for tackle to sit in

Don't use OSB y'all. It's worth spending the money on a real sheet of plywood. It will last way longer. OSB falls apart when exposed to water.

We got some flex tape and covered the holes because it worked well last time then we sprayed the can over and around the tape and on both sides

Youre mistake is not going in longer slow strokes with the rattle can, you pass way too fast which will cause you to waist more paint. Take it nice and slow at a decent distance next time. otherwise Good job with the pond skipper!

Well it’s coming along pretty good? If I ever need a a boat renewed. I know who to ask. Don’t forget the the seats next time. It would be nice to sit and fish instead of standing all day.
