People underestimate how scary a Cesarean is. You have to lie there knowing you're being cut open and basically disemboweled. People act like it's routine but it's major surgery. You were so brave, Morgan.

@@KIM-kp9tq Not every cesarean is planned, in emergency cases it happens in literally 5 minutes. Regardless it doesn’t matter if it’s planned or not because that doesn’t underestimate that it’s still SO extremely scary, stressful, especially because of the possible complications.

It's so scary not hearing your baby cry during a c-section. I had an emergency c-section at 25 weeks and I never got to hear my little boy cry after birth. Thankfully you had your husband to keep an eye and reassure you because it's one of the hardest things I ever experienced. Congrats!

Incredible teamwork. I don’t care how normal it is for that to happen, hearing the nurses ask for additional help is stressful and traumatic for anyone. You both handled that situation so gracefully.

As a nurse who often has to call for help in challenging moments, I cannot imagine what it must feel like to be parents of a newborn baby hearing the nurse say that. Gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. I’m so happy baby Brooks will be okay.

The way they’re SO calm when there’s a total emergency happening 🥺🥺🥺 omfg. I cannot imagine. Being a mother, helplessly on the operating table. I’m bawling just watching 😭 shout out to the medical team totally calmly, “hey can you call for help.” Ughhhg Edit: just got to 13:54 exactly what I’m saying 🥺🥺🥺 poor momma. You did amazing. You can just sense those motherly instincts.. you didn’t take your eyes off him for a single second!!! I bet you’re a wonderful momma ♥️ this video was recommended to me so idk you. But I can tell. Same with dad! Going back and fourth checking on you, then going to baby.. only positive, encouraging, calm words. Man.. your kids are so lucky to have parents like you. Congrats you guys!

Morgan, my heart broke for you and I could just tell what you were thinking when you were looking at him after they said we need some help! You did so good and your love for your baby showed through in those moments. He is such a cutie, congratulations! I’m so glad that he is here and the scariest part is over. Also, I’m a nurse and when we explain things to patients we sometimes ask them to do something called teach back where they tell us what they understand is going on. Everything in the hospital is kind of confusing, overwhelming, and hard to get a grasp of but I was so surprised at how well Logan seemed to truly understand everything when he was explaining! Usually during teach back the patient will say a few things that we have to correct or re-explain, but he did great and explained it so well! So so happy for you and your sweet family!

I had my fourth boy last week, April 4th 2022. He was whisked away to the Nicu and is currently at a different hospital better equip to help him. I know how hard this has been but you both are strong. You have a fighter on your hands and he will pull through! I’m hoping your little one is home in your arms. God bless your family!

This mirrors my cesarian birth so much. My son was born in 2019 at 36 weeks due to placenta previa. I remember all the sounds and smells of the OR. The meds they gave me made me shake uncontrollably. I couldn’t feel my chest rising and falling when I breathed, which freaked me out. They announced that my son had been born, but he didn’t cry. I waited and waited and it must have been at least a minute with no crying. I finally asked, “Is… is he… dead?” No mother should ever have to ask that. They said he was having a hard time catching his breath because he inhaled fluid. Then he cried and it was the most relief I have ever felt in my life. As soon as he came out, I started to feel nauseous, and after a couple of minutes I was puking into a little kidney dish and unable to hold him because I was just going to throw up on him. My husband held him while they sewed me back up. When they wheeled us to recovery, I only held him maybe 10 minutes and I noticed he was breathing weird. He would take a few breaths, stop breathing, and then gasp for air. I called over a nurse and she rushed him over to the NICU. He stayed there for a week. It SUCKED not being able to be with him, especially since it took us 11 years to have him. 🥺 The c-section recovery was very painful.

I am so happy you have all this “nice” experience and having your loved ones with you.. it is amazing.. i was alone since i arrived at the hospital and to the day i got out with my baby nobody was allowed to visit us.. at my hospital they even kept the baby at the room where the nurses care for them, i only went there to breastfeed, nothing much… it was so hard on my mental health, i cried everynight and i couldn’t sleep.. i am really terrified to have another kid just cuz i don’t want to be alone and in that much pain… 😢

I can’t imagine the pain Morgan was in when she was lying on the table seeing her new baby in distress, she must of felt so helpless & scared. Even knowing he was in the right hands & alive to see ur child in distress feet away from you must have been awful. But in tears she showed her incredible strength
