We’ve been 4x4ing for many years and have a pretty good idea of what the car would and wouldn’t handle the way it stood on the track. It’s all about being sensible (where possible) if you haven’t got every mod 🤙🏻 the Nissan is amazing hey, we love it. Thanks for tuning in again Tommy!

Just a suggestion when spotting, radio is great, but miscommunication happens a lot, confusion in directions, hand signals when spotting make a huge difference, practice them as well as radio comms, makes a huge difference !

@@theacreelife research as much as you can and make sure you have maps available for areas with no service (that caught us out in the early days of the trip) as there is a lot of dead spots! Also fuel, download a fuel map and fill up every time you see fuel, even when you don’t need it yet 👏🏻 shop in Woolies Weipa before going north, it’s the cheapest option lol… otherwise, just have fun! Best trip! You’ll all love it 🥰✌🏻

@@BigOzExplorers I'm no y62 expert (we hopefully take delivery in jan/Feb) but apparently these work brilliantly with TC on in 4H or 4L, ie when you guys were lifting wheels in the air the TC would have braked the spinning wheel. The locker is good but you lose TC in the front when the locker is activated. Love your vids! Keep it up!!

hay guys just wondering with your patrol dose it have the hydraulic suspension and if yes who installed your air bags as we have just bought one and i am being told they cant install lift or air bags due to the suspension

Well someone is lying to you lol... we haven’t gone down the lift path so I can’t tell you much about that but we have changed our coils and added airbags with no problem at all. We used ARB but were shopping around before hand and most were happy to do it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’d ask questions with another installer mate 🤙🏻

I know this as the guy who did our GVM upgrade was interested in it and told us about how it all worked etc.. the Y61 didn’t have the same setup throughout so it is a new thing for the Y62 Patrol. To be honest, ARB were not the best for us (maybe that’s just us 🤷🏼‍♀️) but we might be able to direct you to someone suitable depending where you are 👍🏻

Hey Neil, we stayed at Bramwell station, about 10 mins off the bottom end of the OTT. On the second day for the top half we moved to a free camp just before the entry from the PDR to the OTT near fruit bat falls. :)

Was it really necessary to deface the rock? One minute we are saying that people have no respect for the history when they damage the historic Telegraph poles and the next, we carve names in the landscape. Mixed signals for the kids. Nice video other than that. 😊

Why does it matter? It’s a rock not a living thing. If it’s still there in a 1000 years, might be a fun artifact -but more likely it’ll disappear from natural wear and tear within days

Totall agree. Have been enjoying but there is no need to disrespect the country by defacing it and littering. Just recently it is now about pushing the commercialisation and pushing products for personal gain. Unfortunate as the majority of earlier episodes were good to watch.
