Thanks Logan!☝Personally the ONLY way I can get up to speed with this difficult riff is STRICT ALTERNATE picking: very relaxed right wrist with D,U,D,U,D,U,D,U…the whole time for the verse. I’m normally a fingerpicker so perhaps a plectrum is somewhat alien? There’s more leeway with pre-chorus and chorus with consecutive downstrokes but strict alternating picking has to be, otherwise my brain can’t get on autopilot!?☝🤣 Just wondering whether Frusciante plays the riff strict alternating picking? Other KZbin tutorials also emphasise strict alternating picking.☝
