I switched to using Kore Essentials belts several years ago and haven’t looked back.

Which model do you use?

@ I have a 1” leather dress belt that I use whenever I wear a suit, but it’s not designed for carrying stuff. My main work belt is a wider 1-3/4” leather belt with the stiff inner “kore” for carrying firearms and knives. I’m thinking about getting the one you have, though, for general use since the leather gets scratched and the coating wears off over time.

My wife got me a black web kore for $60 about 3 years ago and still wear it every day to support knife, gun, mag or whatever I am cc that day. It can hold anything. I Love it and just told the wife I want another for the holidays in brown leather that is less stiff. The way it adjusts is the best.

You are right. Kore Essentials is a game changer, not just for belt carry but also for adjustable comfort. I've exclusively worn their leather gun belts for several years now.

Yeah I’m thinking I should get one of their leather belts

@@KnifeThoughts Totally worth it! It's also worth exploring different buckles. The X5 is my favorite.

I learned that the Nex Belt has a buckle that was more compact & doesn't have a tendency to pinch on release. Or, in some cases, my fluff/belt loop would prevent the kore release from moving. An oversight fixed on Nex Belts. Mind you, most are not as thick as the kore belts, though some match.

I haven’t heard of that one, I’ll look into it. Thank you

Kore has different buckle designs and some are more compact or streamlined than others. I've found their X-5 to be the best in this respect.

Found out Nextbelts are cheap knock offs of the Kore belts after both of my Nextbelts frayed so bad I returned them to the FFL where I purchased them to discover they stopped selling them for that same reason they said. Instead of refiunding me they offered to replace with a kore web belt that I still wear 2 years later.

@@leeofficial6 I have started to notice mine fraying where the track is stitched in. Though, it seems like this stitching is pointless & unnecessary. I bought & wore KORE belts first, but them being as thick as they are & that damned buckle with the latch that would pinch the living hell out of my love-handles & bite holes in my tucked shirts made me look elsewhere. I also had one of those buffalo leather belts that wear out completely after a couple years. Thing was slouching like a pair of orangutan titties, just - to the floor. The nylon one would bite into my skin badly & hurt my nerves. I wear mine as tight as is comfortably possible.

Not even close. I've had lots of different belts over the decades. After trying Kore with a few different buckle designs, they quickly became the only belt I wore. That was more than five years ago.

Have one in black camo and another in tan coyote and love'em. Never had a belt this nice that can be adjusted so well like this and its very well made. Imo its inexpensive for what you get.
