Not much of an apocalypse with cell phones working.

I really liked this and I have watched heaps of Post-Apocalyptic short films. You guys did an excellent job with making this. Make a part 2 please, if you haven't already.

Not bad, just a little vague. I want more from a movie ending.

Nice role playing, it's refreshing to see a bit of depth in the story rather than just a kill or be killed scenario.

Awsome, looking forward to a part 2.

What's with the antique gun? SWISS Model 1881 Vetterli , Cal. 10.4mm Swiss rimfire. Ammo is non-existent and hasn't been made in over a 100yrs.

Hey, good spotting. Yeah, it's a Vetterli, we picked this specific rifle based on its appearance, and we had access to it. It was purchased from an antique shop and all gunfire in Loggerheads was simulated in post-production.

The supposedly better shooter doesn't lean into the shot gun. Fail, immediately.

Thank you for that perspective, Seth. However, I will point out that the proper spelling is actually "coronavirus" and does not require capitalization.

@@surefirefilms i dont mean it in a disrespectful way i dont hate people that believe it is just such a double standard. If anything good happens it is god tgat gets the credit but if its bad they say its peoples own free will, so many terrible things in the world for no reason so many bad people that get things that they dont deserve. Also out if the thoysands of different religions how can someone say theirs is the right and real one? Religion and all that comes with it gets more people killed than anything else ever has. I hope i am wrong but nothing that has ever happened to me has ever made me think that i am. I spent 3 years in iraq and one in afghanistan and all those people kill eachotger over a religion that probably doesnt exist and we call them terrorists but they are entitled to their beliefs just as you and i are who is to say they are wrong just because we disagree?? They disagree with our views on religion and kill us over it just as we kill them. I welcome someone to give me examples of how god and religion is real but nobody ever says anything other than fantasy and nobody has any proof of any of it. I am open minded to listening but in all my years on this planet every single day i get more reasons why it is a farce and not 1 example otherwise.

Wow, thanks for the response, Alan. I don't know when you say you were in Iraq and Afghanistan if that was with the military or something else, but either way thank you for what you've done there. I think everything you've addressed is relevant and certainly worth thinking/talking about. To be honest, I struggle with a lot of the same questions you've asked, I don't have definitive answers to them, as no one does but God alone if he does exist, but part of the reason I made Loggerheads was to hopefully give people a chance to discuss issues like the existence of God after seeing the film. It's short and obviously we couldn't get into all the specifics of this stuff and we lean one way more than the other absolutely, but I want to apologize to you if anyone “religious,” whether Christian or whatever, has ever hurt you. I think you’re right that a lot of people either use God as a façade or something to hide behind in order to justify their opinions even if they have no connection to the Bible. There is an unfathomable amount of evil in this world and it is overwhelming to think about, let alone experience. People have been killing one another in the name of certain religions, gods, etc. basically since the beginning of time. Escalated “disagreements” or whatever we want to call them have resulted in the deaths of millions upon millions of people all over the world. I agree with you, all this is scary, overwhelming and depressing, for me at least. I’m an imperfect Christian and to be honest, I struggle with my relationship with God. I choose to persist and continue doing research (see some resources below) in addition to just talking with God and trying to be honest. I like to use filmmaking as a means of catharsis for myself to wrestle with these topics and also like to think it will prompt positive discussion among viewers, even if they disagree with each other or me, like the two characters in Loggerheads. I can’t understand everything you’re feeling so I won’t claim to “understand” but I can say I know what it’s like to look at this world and say, “How can this place be anything other than blind, pitiless indifference?” I have gone through a lot of resources myself to try to better comprehend these questions and I can say some have definitely helped me and I wish I could send you something more than this but I wanted to respond as quickly as I could, so here’s a few possibly good names to Google/KZbin search if you want to learn more: Lee Strobel - atheist-turned-Christian author who has written a bunch of books including the Case for Christ, which was turned into a semi-corny but decent movie which is available on Netflix (depending on where in the world you are). The books are good too and address a lot of the questions people want to ask. C.S. Lewis - also atheist-turned-Christian author who wrote the Narnia series but also a bunch of good books on theology, etc. Francis Chan - pastor-turned-missionary, really good guy. Talks about stuff like this sometimes. Rev. Chris Lee - "Instagram's favourite Vicar" “Christian Apologetics” - isn’t the same as evangelism as it tries to answers people’s questions rather just talk about the Bible. Something to check out online. Sorry I don’t have specific videos to direct you to, but I wanted to respond as quick as I could! I’d like to address some more of your specific questions, but think this comment has gone long enough, but if you go to my website: SurefireFilms.ca, there’s an email link you can use if you would ever like to chat about stuff like this or anything else with me outside of KZbin comments. And if you’d like to keep the conversation going here, I’m happy to do that as well. Hope this helps in some small way, Alan. And thank you, thank you, thank you for your honesty. Matt
