Good point on underslung pillow block bearings, there must be significant vibration on that grinder. Cold weather sure brings out the weak spots in equipment in a hurry. Hang in there young man, spring is coming, every day is one day closer to spring. Thanks for the update sir, appreciate the video and your time making and posting it.

Man you speak the language of the process in ways that really makes it easy to understand why being straight up with people as to be shifty and like you said squeezing your costumer so tight that the flow is slowed down and the bottle neck effect starts taking place and then it becomes everyones problem my take is that if stay with costumes that are fair and they care about the industry in the long run you guys that do the right thing come out better at the end of the day and Wade you knocked it out of the park to me and you are always jumping in and helping out where ever you can no matter what it’s 👍😎🇺🇸 NY

When you are stuck with 12v in cold weather, voltage drop is a big issue. Many a time jumping a battery in cold weather I could not get enough power across from the donor power to the needy one. Putting a second set of jumper cables onto the primary set let me double the cable capacity and low and behold she turned over. Just a thought when it gets down around zero or lower temp wise.

Pretty sure I saw a younger Wade in TV commercial. Defy channel in northern Indiana. Your brow was not as wrinkled as it is now. Responsibility weights on all of us. I have been watching a log house being built near me in north east Indiana. They are using undried logs with machined flats on 2 sides to 1 foot thick. Trailer load after trailer load were trucked in from Wisconsin. Every log had ends and or keys cut in. I assumes this takes a huge commitment in equipment and tooling. Tomorrow will be the seventh and probably the last day to fly logs into place with a crane.

I have seen what your talking about wade ,when I was in business ,the cut throats, every one would come to me and want the cheapest price because there was a cut throat down the road , then with equipment sales , the consumer comes in and wants a tractor at $ 150 over cost ! I'm like, hey buddy you want me and parts here after the sale? I can't run to his place on nothing ....it would mess up the whole cart , I've seen it all in 35 years ..

Those underslung bearing mounts defy logic. A bearing should be upright and bolted down to the top of the steel member so that it can properly support the bearing. The mounting bolts should be running down through the bearing mount to the frame in order to prevent the bearing mount from moving up or sideways. That grinder design should have been checked by an independent mechanical engineer before being approved for production. We have had a scandal here in NZ where a civil engineer was creating false independent reports of his designs.
