Yeah, decking blades make pretty poor dozer blades, but they work in a pinch… kinda.. I’ve never been a big hunter, but logging has always got me in the woods to enjoy nature and see things like that waterfall. When I was a kid we logged a lot in Talkeetna, and Trapper Creek, which is not far from the base of Mt McKinley.. Hauling logs with dad on a clear day was pretty fantastic looking at Denali on the way to the landing.. That key method was an interesting technique!

First time viewer, nice! I see a Tree Monkey 661 and is that a Master Mind 500? Those 2 cycle Detroit’s were extremely popular in fire apparatus years ago because they could go right after cold start. All other diesels were sluggish until warmed up. Stay safe!👍

If you ask me your skidder done a great job on the logging trail. And about the stream. I would have to bring a fishing pole and do some fishing lol

Daves, what is the purpose of those teeth looking plates on either side of chain/bar?
@daveyslogging17 сағат бұрын
The dogs I’m assuming you’re talking about. 1- to keep the muffler away from the tree 2- gives leverage to help the saw bite in a little better
