It is such a pleasure watching mules work. Until I starting watching your videos I would never guessed I would have enjoyed it so much. Poor May was wanting so bad to get in there with the others. Thank you for sharing this with the world. Also, thank you for posting Ephesiens 2:8. One the most important verses. For by Grace are we saved, thru faith. Faith is the boat that carries a Christian through raging storms. God bless you my friend.
@zachodommulelogging8 күн бұрын
You are welcome, my friend! I got saved as a way back. And have tried to live with my life for the Lord for a long time. However, I found myself trying to be “good enough“ while I was trying to live my life for the Lord. The more I studied Ephesians 2:8-9 I really started to begin to understand the true process of Christ efforts on the cross. We will never be good enough! And besides… If we were, then we would not have needed him and his sacrifice on the cross. That particular scripture in Ephesians is probably my most favorite scripture in the Bible. At least for now, lol. Thank you for sharing a word of encouragement. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching! Take care and come again. God bless.
@bain58727 күн бұрын
@@zachodommulelogging Zach, you are so right my friend. That verse, Ephesians 2:8, was the light I needed in my walk as well. I was wrestling with the same issue. I find myself lacking every single day. The devil, speaking through my flesh told me I was not a Christian, he reminded me of how unfit I was, how undeserving I was and how constantly I was failing at being righteous. This one verse showed me that nothing I could ever do would make me good enough but I don't have to be. Jesus squared that debt not I. Through faith, I accept that my human weakness was already nullified by the gift that Jesus Christ gave me through His sacrifice. All I have to do is accept it. As we grow in God, we slowly learn to sacrifice the flesh as Jesus did, it is a growing process with many many failures along the way. These failures, ie, (our works), don't save us, his sacrifice did that. God is so good, Amen.

Greenhouse floor fabric is wonderful stuff if you don't have much time. Pin it down, burn little hole through it, use a dirt auger to make a hole in the ground under it, and drop your tomatoes and peppers and what have you through the holes. If you have drip tape under there, watering is easy, and it is pretty much plant it and forget it. That's how I do a lot of my garden. It doesn't work good for corn or beans, but it is slick for peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, lettuce, cabbages, kale, etc. I've only got a tiny back yard, and my garden spot is roughly 35x35, but I grow a big portion of our food in it. We don't have room to expand it in space, so we expand it by time. I use poly tunnels over the beds to grow a garden pretty much year round. I've still got lettuce, carrots, and celery growing right now, and it made it through that bad freeze. We lost the beets and turnips. There was a hole in that tunnel and I pretty much knew we'd lose it, so I didn't put a frost blanket on it, but we put blankets on the other beds, and they made it. We will plant our tomatoes and peppers in April under the tunnels, and take them off in May. That gets canning over early and frees the beds up for a fall crop. Some of the beds get three and four crops on them in a year.
@zachodommulelogging7 күн бұрын
That is really cool! Marcy does that in her garden… I’m going to grow some things that she doesn’t normally grow such as potatoes, corn and peas. She grows a lot of peppers, onions, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. And she uses that paper you were referring to. It is pretty slick for sure! Thank you for sharing your ideas and what you do with me. That is very cool. You are wise to utilize your space and time like you are doing. That is admirable. Thanks again and thanks for watching! I just wish I could plow my ground that wet. Mine would turn into a brick field if I did that. You are blessed to have sandy soil instead of this Georgia clay I have. It works up good but you can't do nothin with it when it's wet !
@zachodommulelogging7 күн бұрын
We don’t have any sand here in Tennessee where I am. It is all heavy ground. When I used to live in South Alabama, I had the same problem you have with red clay. However, here the ground will freeze and thaw a few more times before it is time to work down. And the idea of it is… To let it freeze. It going through those cycles will break the ground up really nice and mellow it out. That is nice. This ground here, particularly where I plowed at has been in pasture for years. So it is very hard, and the only way I could plow it and get down deep enough was to wait for it to be wet. And it still pulled up some big clods. But overall, I am very happy with the way it plowed. Thanks for being here, my friend and taking time to watch. I appreciate it! Take care and come again. God bless.

When I see you plow do you have to consider who you put next to the dug up part and the out side where nothing is plowed. I was just wondering if you notice that one does better in one spot versus another
@zachodommulelogging8 күн бұрын
Well, not really. I just work my mules how I’ve decided to hitch them as a team. My mules will work just about wherever I put them. In the beginning, Alice was pushing June out out of the furrow only because she thought she was suppose to be in it. Normally she is when I plow with just 2. But it didn’t take her long to pick up on what I was wanting. Usually the bigger taller animal goes on the right hand side. But that’s not a hard fast rule.
