Mister Tim. I have to vote for the logging videos. Hopefully your brother is improving. There is a shot available for shingles. I have had the shot without any side effects. Stay safe. Cheers from northeast Ontario Canada 🇨🇦

I'm all about the forestry industry and logging. From the first time watching Ax Men on the History Channel and watching Logger Wade. There is so much going on with the equipment and making it work to preform the job all in one swift motion. The operators are one of a kind also. There is not a lot of logging in Illinois but if I had the opportunity to visit a site and watch everything happen, I probably would not go home.

RE: People having a negative view of logging. It always amazes me how many people look at it negatively, but don't realize where their 2x4's and toilet paper comes from.

There was a popular bumper sticker here in western NC when I was a kid. It simply said "Wood is Wonderful. It's still true. Wood is a wonderful renewable resource.

It's hard to beat the drone overall view to get a good look at the logging operation. Ground view definitely doesn't show what can be seen from the air. Thank you for a look at the logging job and an explanation of what it entails. Nick, North West Farmer

Last time I checked, this is your channel. You keep doing what you do. I always appreciate your viewpoint on all subject matters. On a side note, you hadn't mentioned Jaybird lately. How is he doing? Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us.

You don't have to tell me about the heat man.. I am on a job that is about all 70% or steeper and it is really rocky so I have been having to hand cut a lot. I haven't done much cutting since I got my track cutter a couple years ago so I am having it rough.. lol. I like the logging vids because that is my passion but I was also heavily involved in search and rescue for many years so I enjoy the rope rigging in the tree videos pretty well.

KZbin has been putting my name on comments that I didn't make. The comment shown, followed by "Nick, North West Farmer" was from me. The comment with my name on it followed by, "have a great day Sam", was not from me. Something is fouled up in their system and my name has been attached to comments not made by me for about one week. This can be very misleading for the anyone viewing content and for the creator as well. I definitely don't like my name attached to comments I didn't make and I am sure the real commenter doesn't appreciate it either. Nick, North West Farmer

We as a people have been brain washed that logging is bad. However, at the same time we admire farmers who grow wheat, corn, sunflowers, barley, oats, etc. We see these people as salt of the earth. The backbone of America. What people don't realize is logging is no different from farming. The major difference is the time to harvest a crop. In the south, a log may take 25 year before harvest. In the north, it may take 60 years.

You're logging videos probably don't do all that good when it's just you loading the trucks and talking. Some people want to see lots of attention like for logging videos showing Chad with the 635 and your brothers cutting and processing the trees. No matter what style videos you make you're not going to make everybody happy. I never thought I would be interested in watching logging videos or tree cutting videos but you have done a good job making them interesting especially your tree cutting videos with some of the trees you have to deal with like Sundays video or one had to lift the tree

To me it's kinda like hunting. It's a necessary thing. Yes we need trees to make houses and toilet paper just like we need food. But if you one of these guys that act like it's a big celebration like ur proud of clear cutting this "small" 60 acres that took the earth decades to make, I sorta have a problem with it. Like dancing around high 5ing when you get that big buck instead of respecting that you just took a life and being humble. Like you in it for the "sport'' instead of the food. How many trees you planted in your life? Ive cut many a tree in my day but u gotta respect it u gotta put back sometimes and clear cutting is not an accomplishment. People hate it if ur just taking and taking to put money in your pocket and never giving anything back. Leave the planet better than you found it. If you've clear cut hundreds or thousands of acres sorry but you are nature's enemy... Not her hero. I'm no saint but just being honest that's how I feel.
