i had to listen to this again. my 5 weeks of being clean from cutting was yesterday. it has been such a long road and it seemed like every day was becoming longer and harder to live with. With the help of my friends i was able to overcome, and this road will never be easy in the future. it was hard, even with all my friends with me. i still have thoughts everyday, but that's where music and friends and art and everything or anyone that make me happy and smile.

Kim Anndria I am not good at opening up on my problems either and that’s what it has been like my whole life I struggle to talk about my emotions to people even if I truly trust them so it circles my head instead If someone asked me a question and I didn’t hear it right or something and I answered it wrong and they looked at me weird, I replayed that conversation then in my head In September last year, I went through the worst time of my entire life. My friend who I had been friends with for 4 years was reported missing, she had turned 17, two months before and I was 16, it was on the SA polices Facebook page, my friends and I talked about it before home group, my home group teacher told the class, I was pulled out of class later on and was interviewed by police, we had a year level assembly before lunch and the whole year was told about it, I then had a meeting at lunch time for a club I was in and it was brought up again The next day I accidentally left my phone at home, she was found that day which was relieving but I couldn’t relax A storm was forecast that day and the helicopter that was sent out to search was the last one that was allowed to fly and luckily they found her, if they didn’t, it was very likely that she would have lost her life but luckily she didn’t I was in class and my class was walking on the farm with my subject teachers dogs and when we returned an announcement came over the speaker sending all year 11s to go to an assembly, I was so nervous about what it was about, I had 3 people text me saying she was found but I had no idea, they told me as we were walking there Apparently they weren’t going to tell us until the end of the day but most of our year had already found out through Facebook For days and weeks which turned into months, everything that had happened circled in my head, if I thought about it for a second, I replayed the whole thing in my head, it was like I could hear my own voice in my head and it was like a loop on repeat, it was emotionally draining and I didn’t talk to many people about it, certain songs which was related in someways to what happened that I loved were so much harder to listen too When we found out the truth of what had happened, we weren’t allowed to say to other people which also made it so much harder It affected me so much that to this day, I think of it sometimes and I can hear it in my head again but it doesn’t hit me as hard this time When she came home and she came to my birthday party and the catch up during the summer at a friends house, she would be sat right across from me and it would take my brain a few minutes for me to realise that she was actually there I don’t have a mental health issue or suicidal tendencies so I couldn’t imagine what you are going through but please know that you are NEVER alone, if you want to talk, I am here for you, you are worth it

I honestly think that you're extremely brave as you stepped out of your comfort zone to type in that comment. I cry every time I hear this song as it's horrifying to think of the things people go through but manage to keep a smile on their face. In the past I have been suicidal and there were times when I wanted to kill myself, but I'm glad I didn't because life has gotten better and although it isn't the best, I continue to grow.
