i just had the cry of my life to this song.. words cant describe... i just turned 27 and had my first birthday today in my first own place (apartment which is nice) ever in my life after (T.W) a Suic**e attempt, homelessness and facing my problems, discovering the effect of simple solutions of patience, discipline, regaining self confidence to experience the path true happiness and inner peace of self love and love in general, rising above through my first job, and finally beginning to chase my dream in music... I'm hysterically crying writing this. i used to think not only would this never be possible but that also that i wasn't worth any of this for years. my message other than an unfathomable thanks to ppl like logic and his fans that push peace, love and positivity, but also my ppl, and myself for opening the door the second i chose living for once. if your reading this and have ever doubted or still doubt yourself i beg of you DONT EVER SECOND GUESS OR GIVE UP ON WHO YOU ARE EVER!!!!! you are amazing the way you are, you are more than deserving of love and following your own loving heart against all odds! ✌,❤&➕ all day, everyday to the best of all our abilities!!!

Probably his honesty in his lyrics? "Say I ain't good enough" "Killing myself to make a killing, fuck the bullshit, Imma just write what I'm feeling." "I rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not" "We all got problems, but the question is can you solve them?" "Just keep it pushing" "I've been battling with my demons, cowardice when I see them." "Smiling on my face, but I'm dying under the surface." "I know somebody gonna relate to this." The instrumental is phenomenally atmospheric as well, pretty cool immersion. I think the female hook hits pretty good to me as well. lol I love this song :)

It’s hard to realise he will retire, my first mixtape of that guy was young, broke and infamous man.. I knew he would blow up... There you go.. I listened to any song back then till today. since he blew up in commercial industry music I didn’t listen to him more as the first days, by hearing THIS album It’s like feeling the old HIM, the old school one.. Im really sad of his retiring through... He was one of my favs and will stay! From young, broke & infamous to Old Father, rich & Famous, proud of you Logic! ❤️

I feel this I first listened to logic when he dropped welcome to forever and then I got into his older stuff and it felt like I struck gold with his lyrics, I saw the potential and was saying to my friends at school this guy is a great rapper he’s gonna blow up and sure enough he did. I listened to his mainstream stuff and didn’t like it too much and went back to bumping his old stuff for a while, this album has brought back so many memories and reminds me of when he first dropped under pressure that shit took off and I loved every second of every minute from that album. This has brought back those feels especially from soul food 2 🔥

The sample in the song is from Manfred Mann's Earth Band. I'm a long time Manfred fan (going back to the 60's) and was interested to hear this. It's from a track called 'Lies Through the 80's' which is on the 1980 album 'Chance'. The sample itself is sung by Dyan Birch (not Chris Thompson) - see kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZvccp6jj8lpack @ about 3:38.

This is what rap SHOULD BE. Inspiration. Not gang culture. Positively influencing this young generation instead of setting off their personalities to fail.
