Today I received my degree as a civil engineer. It was the first time I had ever seen my father cry. Here I am, laying in bed; at 2:30 am, 4 years later. Let me tell you a story.. just cause this song randomly came up on my recommended. I was addicted to opiates really bad from ages 14-18, I was absolutely hopeless determined to die in the streets of Chicago and this song gave me the courage to get my life together and I currently have 4 1/2 years clean and I can say I love my life today.. sober date 10-22-16 and I turn 24 years old on 10-4.. crazy that just listening to this song brought me back to a place I almost forgot I went thru cause it feels like it was so long ago
