Wow. Things have obviously changed since I was a young bloke. Was a time when the only copyrightable bits of a song were the melody and the lyric.

Which is strange as drums aren’t known to be a copyright offence.

I filed a counterdispute, and they released the copyright claim.

So making music with these tools is not a great idea then... All of a sudden you'll get a bill from ASCAP to pay out royalties to Apple... 🤣🤣🤣

Apple didn't claim the copyright. If another artist uses a loop or a sample from a royalty-free sample that you are allowed to use non-exclusively, sometimes the samples get tagged by the song publishers. I filed a counter dispute, and they released the copyright claim.
