At first I thought 'so what?' considering that we're already able to control the amount of signal going to and from an effects buss - until I started exploring what could be done with the independent pan idea - and applying binaural settings to all of that. Now - that's really something out of the box. Thanks for the great heads up.

I've seen both on 4.2 but the time is 05 at night when you upload, Jesus. But of course I watch it immediately.

Very cool indeed ! However , for some reason going through these steps when I get to independent pan I don't get that feature . The slider operates the send but I don't get the pan on a drop down. I still have to use the pan on the aux. trk. Thanks for all the great stuff. Jim.

Slightly off topic, but i see that first of the bullet points is: "Sound Library can now be relocated to external storage device." Now i've seen that this should be possible in the past by moving sound library folders (to another location) and setting up SymLinks. I did try that recently on my iMac, and dammit, but Logic wouldn't see the additional content any more. Tried it several times, to no avail. And worse, upon giving up and moving everything back to default location, Content manager wouldn't see it where it was supposed to be. So i ended up having to re download all the content again, and having to put up with it on my boot disk (3TB fusion disk, BTW). Can you check that the "new" ability to relocate the additional content now works properly? I suspect, BTW that there was some issue with symlinks in High Sierra that caused the issue, but i'm not Unix/MacOS savvy enough to work out what the issue was. I believe there are others who have used that technique successfully, but I did find through a Google search that I certainly wasn't the only one with this issue. Waiting on any further 10.4.2 videos!

Bad news I'm afraid Sire.. I've got my library relocated using symbolic links as you know, and despite the fact after the update to 10.4.2 logic see's all the content, the 'Relocate library' is greyed out. dammit!! Hence i didn't do that one first.

Downloading 10.4.2... will have a look myself. Wonder if teh symlinks method clashes with the "new(?)" method in Logic...will report any findings. Cheers!

See email to your address! Looks like ``relocate Sound library" working for me. Haven't yet started it, but see screen grab.

Yep. I'm on High Sierra, and just installed 10.4.2. Just to confirm that I successfully used the new Relocate Sound Library to an external disk, and Logic now sees all content installed. As i had issues with trying to use the symbolic link option previously, due, i think to issues with High Sierra, this now appears to be the best and simplest way to relocate. SL. Obviously your mileage might vary. Anybody else tried this yet? Or had issue with symlink method in the past?

Ah yes, if you could please post a video of your suggested method for updating to 10.4.2 and dealing with a library already on an external drive using symlinks, it would be much appreciated! Again, thank you so much for your incredibly clear and concise videos, and all that you do to help the LPX and music tech community!

I've seen this: "How to install macOS Mojave on Unsupported Mac's" and I'm gonna try it. hopefully 4.2 will download on OS Mojave even if the MB pro is to old model? If you have an old you can try, it seems legit so which me luck. Mojave will run on Air but nice to use it on 15" Then I will make a hella good celebration track
