This is a great reminder! I was having trouble doing this with a Drum Group just now. I was trying to change the fader level of the Group volume and it wasn't working. I fixed it by, instead, selecting all the drum tracks and changing the level of the faders in unison.

Frankly, after so much software and updates and upgrades.. I decided to roll back my operating system and get back to basics.. All these new tools just make you lazy and takes the fun out of making music.. everyone seems in such hurry to make a track...

I think this is not AI enough when your only option is to start and stop for every chord , it should be drag and drop once, to fully recognise the entire midi file and go !

Ok I'm confused. Do I need adat cables, a coaxial cable, or both? It sounds like you're saying I can choose between adat or coaxial, but another video I watched said both are needed. I have mine on it's way in the mail. I'm trying to understand this thing before it comes.

is this good for recording analogue drum maschines and synths?

I am using Behringer UMC204HD for live performance with my band. Out 1+2 stereo backtrack sequencer, Out 3 Guitar - RCA convert to DI, Out 4 RCA click track for drummer. it sound great when using headphones and another output in average level output at home. Problem appear when all out comes together in studio mixer with all the band players, the output sound distorted when raise the volume to average band level output (because need to balance with other band players) , I ensure its not clipping both form DAW or analog Mixer but still distorted when volume raised at average level with another band players I read that because UMC204HD has high THD (Total Harmonic DIstortion) seems cause the problem. Is that happen too with this UMC1820 ? have you try mix in DAW and output the volume up to average band level volume without distorted with this device ?

Thanks for this video - I now know how to use the articulation. 👍 However, I agree with @mitchyankowitz4295, it's not a bug, it's supposed to work that way, and gives users two modes of operation. To get round your 'bug', you would need to multi-select all the notes you want to assign to that particular articulation, just like you might do with quantize. The other method, using the F#0/G#0/A# notes, uses a latch function instead, probably so you don't have to pepper the Piano Roll editor with extraneous notes.

whats the benefit of getting this ada expander vs getting a second umc1820?

Now THIS is what I was looking for. Very precise and clear. I got my ada8200 few days ago and the one thing I'm already vaguely complaining about (even before I get started) is the fact that the phantom power generates +48v for each and every mic input in the adat interface. I guess that's what makes it cheap compared to other adat interfaces. I worked my way around plugging to it exclusively condenser mics, just in case and so to be sure I'll never blow up a dynamic capsule by accident. This needs to be said I think

WHAT driver were you using for these? 1 of the WAV drivers or 1 of the ASIO drivers? I use Mixcraft 10.5 Pro, & I used it last week to rec a rehearsal, but all the inputs come out as PAIRS, ie 1-8/1 or 2, 1-8/3 or 4 etc. I guessed that for each pair you needed to select a L or R channel to get them separate? It worked but I am not sure IF that is necessary to get separate inputs for each track simultaneously! THAT was with ASIO4ALL driver! Any thoughts? Cheers!

Chord progressions are a nice feature for amateur musicians that don’t really know what they’re doing, but it is also a great feature for professional musicians to work faster! Apparently, logic AI capabilities still need to be improved. On one hand it could produce correct voice leading which would sound nice and smooth and professional, and then on the other extreme you could reduce the correct voice leading to make it sound more amateurish which the kids will like.

It seems kind of ridiculous that you would waste five minutes to play in four single chords from a midi file one at a time. Logic should make this so that I can input an entire four minute piece, and then logic could analyse the chords.
