@tomfanny48716 жыл бұрын
hey! you can also bounce a pattern track in place as audio and use it as input rather than creating an auxilary-bus input. Find the "bounce in place" option in the context-menu (right click) when selecting a track.

Thanks dude, I did this tutorial about 5 or 6 years ago, needed a refresher, you are a really good teacher, and the pause button makes you super patient! Nice one, gates are cool, the first time I heard a Norman Cook gate I wanted to learn how to do it!

You can bounce in place the midi region to have it as an audio and use sidechain. A bit faster.

Its easier to use the effect plugin Step FX was originally called Camel Space before Apple acquired them to get hold of Alchemy but all the CamEl FX are right there, check out the original Camel audio effects to get an idea of what can be done, it seems many people don't realise these amazing FX plugins live on in Logic!
@kingofdjembe Жыл бұрын
Yes by the way I wish they were available individually in logic. Like I wish there was a dedicated effect for distortion, instead of having to open the fatFX and disable all the other effects.

Great tutorial!!! Had one quick question. Not sure if anyone else has run into this, but the effect works great for me, but only works if I have that track selected. as soon as I move on and have any other track selected the effect doesn't work. as long as I play with that track selected is the only way it will continue to have the Noise gate trigger. any ideas? Thanks

Thx, man. But it doesn't work with the new Noise Gate. Can you make an update, please?
@samwu18366 жыл бұрын
It sucks and isn't well publicised, but you could try and use the legacy Noise Gate (silver gate) which shares a similar interface. Simply hold the 'option' key while clicking an empty effect slot, and you should have a list of legacy plugins available.
