Tsushima Island, Japan

Tsushima (対馬）is an island in Nagasaki prefecture that's closer to Korea than mainland Japan. I lived there for a year as a part of the JET Program. There are 6 towns on the island: Kamitsushima, Kamiagata, Mine, Toyotama, Mitsushima, and Izuhara, and they all have lots of interesting places.

Why? They don’t have the type of cats you are referring to in that part of the world. They do have wolves and bears though. The only wild cat in that region is the leopard cat and they would be no threat and aren’t much bigger than a domestic cat just with leopard like markings.

@@logiebear I've been playing it since the release. To me it's like the Japanese version of the Odyssey. Due to the nature of the story, it may not be suitable for everyone and it can be graphical in certain chapters. I got to see the beauty of Tsushima and culture. The game is worth the money and I can't think of a better game that portrays other countries to this degree.

At first I felt sorry that you had been assigned to such a "hekichi" (a remote place) for your program, but soon I found out that you had a time of your life there. Nice video. I saw this island on my map, but had no idea there was so much to see. The island is much larger then I thought. I liked the segment on the wild cat. People don't typically associate Japan with nature and wildlife.
