I bought a foldable laptop stand for $9 like 2 years ago. Takes no space in my bag, and super stury + it gives great cooling for the laptop. This Logitech looks really bad in comparsion. Also have a 65% wireless gaming keyboard with brown switches that is small, and a wireless mouse :) all in all, it was like $60

The longer I watched this video, the more I knew this thing was not for me (cost, no numpad, etc). But... LOGITECH! Put that trackpad on the market as a freestanding item and you should sell oodles of them. As Robby has said, there's really a lack of trackpads available (Brydge got our hopes up then let us down). I'm currently using an Apple Magic Trackpad Gen1 with my Chromebook. Sell your trackpad alone, and I think Chromebook users (and Windows users) will beat a path to your door.

I will just stick with my £25 Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and a £10 aluminium folding laptop stand. I have been using them for over 5 years now and they have served me well. I use them with my Chromebook, Mac Mini and my work Windows laptop.

What would be an awesome improvement of the design is if they integrated a pop up dongle in that storage compartment slot so you had all your portable connectivity also stored in that package.

I am still using a Logitech t650. It was in storage for a few years but started using it again. That one in the Casa looks like a redesigned t650. The t650 has the switches built into the two front feet.

The trackpad clicking anywhere is exactly how Apple’s Magic Keyboard for iPad trackpad works. Physical click, but everywhere. Driving board trackpads are a straight up deal breaker for some folks, myself included, so this is nice.

I always buy those with internal fans for 30$. No sweaty thighs and the laptops last waaaay longer. Perfect battery health, less dust building up in the internals of the laptops because it uses it's fans less and therefore had less air going through throughout the years. My still running BOINC 24/7 macbook pro 2012 is my proof

I agree. I understand that Chromebooks are most popular Chrome OS device but I wish there was more thought to the Chrome boxes or like myself. Todd connects their Chromebook to a monitor and will like a good keyboard and mouse to go with it

I had to make one of these, to get proper posture and switch between different devices (chromebook and raspberry pi's) Some woodwork, a bluetooth keyboard and a bluetooth mouse, the last two logitech, the first ex-tree. It is a bit raggy, so I'll look out for this turning up in Edinburgh.

$200 not worth the price, Logitech is a good brand but that doesn't mean every product they release is good. That cluncky plastic stand and keyboard combo in the video looks bad really bad quality. Personally i hate plastics, but Logitech does have some very super quality keyboard mouse combos which are really good, much better that this one in the video. You can get an individual aluminium foldable stand ($30 tops) that is way better vs cheap brittle plastic. in combination with the Logitech Pebble2 mouse keyboard combo which is priced at $50 and way superior. If you are a graphics designer and want a a higher dpi mouse, i recommend getting either the full pop set combo. The pop mouse is 4000 dpi (Mac users need to install the Logitech suit to adjust dpi). The Pebble 2 mouse is 1000 dpi. Because the Pop mouse keyboard combo comes in awful colors, the pop mouse sold separately however does come in gray, black, white. You can combine this with the Pebble 2 keyboard which sells separately for $37. And for $15 more you can get the carrying case for the mouse keyboard combo.

I use a 2nd monitor, keyboard, and mouse with Lian overpriced laptop cooler. Use on a dual desk mount arm, one holds laptop, and other holds the 2nd monitor. I use Logitech mx keys keyboard with Logitech mouse...To me, was well worth the money. 1. Keyboard $79 2. Mouse $90 3. Dual Mount arm $45 4. Lian Laptop cooler / stand 99 * I don't like trackpads myself *

Good point, you can get plenty of budget 24in 1080p monitors for $80 to $99 all day long, along with a JLab wireless mouse, and keyboard combo for $30, and then some stick on metal feet for your laptop for $10, and you still come out cheaper than this. Logitech has lost its mind asking this much!!

If the keyboard was built solely for ChromeOS and had all the correct keys with the everything key in the correct place, I'd be straight onto buying this. But with the keyboard issue it doesn't seem the best.

I don't see how this is any better than just using the computer by itself. It already has a keyboard and trackpad built in. If posture is a concern, you can very easily sit upright with the laptop on your desk. If you have space for a trackpad, you most definitely have space for a mouse which IMO is always more ergonomic unless you are space contrained (which if you had space for this you have space for a real mouse.

Agree on the mouse but if you sit upright the laptop screen will be way below eye level.

Stand raises the screen, to normal eye level. I use a stand, on arm. I agree 100% on the mouse part. I hate trackpads, just don't feel natural to me.

Raises the screen without requiring space for a full mousing surface. It also packs up into a little package you can throw in your bag. Not for everyone obviously but it seems useful

The keyboard and trackpad on my work Surface Pro and majority of PC laptops are total garbage in my experience. I do think this is a little overpriced, but the form factor and portability of this setup is really slick IMO. This also won’t generate the heat a lot of laptops generate with a lot of use.

@@jonkuenning I used to have a Surface 3 and the keyboard was excellent. The trackpad was good but just a tad bit small though. Every Dell Latitude and ThinkPad I've ever used have all had excellent keyboards and trackpads and are very common. The best portability would be to have a good laptop to begin with and not have to buy this waste of space.

I travel a bit for work so this looks appealing. Hopefully the product is as good as Robbie says because this is a bit pricey but I'm going to try it out anyways for myself.

I think it's too low to be on eye level and your posture is still pretty bad; you have to use your muscles to hold your head which, eventually, causes neck pain. There are light weight laptop stands that are ergonomic and you get to choose the peripherals.

I am really pleased Robby used a 16 inch Chromebook in the review. Because that was one of my questions. Would it be sturdy enough to hold a big Chromebook? And mine is a big Chromebook. This is something I will buy when it becomes available in the UK. Pending the full review obviously.

Looks like a nice setup. But I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my older Logitech BT mini keyboard that was supposed to work with Android, Windows and Mac. Only paired with Android, and only for a few months until Android OS updated. Now it's a keyboard brick. And the laptop stand covers the keyboard and is too deep to support a Chromebook without impinging on the screen. Logitech, IMO, has a very short useful lifespan. I will remind myself to sit up straight while I use my Chromebook on a desk/table and use the $180 for something that will last longer.

Which Logitech keyboard do you have? My k480 still works, it’s about 6 years old. Pairs with Android phone, max mini and iPad. Have also used another model with my Acer Chromebook in tablet mode.

@@dplj4428 I still have it. I like it too much to throw it away. It's called "Logitech Tablet Keyboard for Android 3.0+". It comes with a sweet little case that folds into a tent shape to use as a stand for a phone or tablet. It ceased to connect somewhere around Android 5.0, I think. Lots of numbers under the battery door, but I can't tell which is the model number.

Yes, but due to smaller size than a Notebook, will have alot of exposed stand showing, but yes.

Agreed, plus I feel most people when they are carrying a laptop/Chromebook are just going to use the keyboard built in, and maybe a mouse, or trackball to keep their load lighter. Also if you look around there are some good options for cheap metal laptop stands, and stick on metal feet that pack up much better than this in a bag.

@@dec1slh the stick on flip up on feet I have on my laptop that puts it at an angle while giving the fans some more airflow is honestly perfect for me, than having it flat on the desk, and if you use a keyboard that has flip up feet it's not really that different.

Would be better, if had other color options. White won't go with most chromebooks. Personally, I think a Good laptop cooler with Stand feature is better, and use a good Logitech Mx Combo...Just me thou

10:06 tempted. 10:49 great! Multi-device keyboard. I can see using this with iPad Pro. - A available since 2023 (September?). Logitech site says it works with iPad OS 14 ans above, Windows,MacOS (download software for touchpad), and Chromebooks.

I literally saw this today on display at BB when I went to pick up a mouse. Felt cheap. Nothing about it seemed premium. The keyboard felt like the Logitech K400, and that's like $25. I really don't see the point of this. Extra crap to lug around. A nice wireless mouse is all I need for my mobile setup. You also said no one makes a trackpad for Windows? Literally tons of them on Amazon, and I bet most of them will work plug n play with Chrome OS. I had one like 10 years ago made by Wacom, and also doubled as pen entry. It also worked no problem with my Chromebook.

Yep, and most keyboards, mice, trackballs, & trackpads that are USB HID(Human Interface Device), or Bluetooth will work on Chrome OS, Linux, Android, etc... For my setup with my 14in Lenovo laptop I bought some stick on metal feet for 10 bucks to raise my laptop off my work surface, and the pack up really nicely, along with a Perixx wireless Trackball that also has Bluetooth for $30 on sale. There really is nothing special here to justify 180 bucks for all this extra bulk in a laptop bag.

Guys, I don't know who else to turn to, I have a Chromebook with a 4k screen and the Linux applications are very small, I can't leave them at a standard resolution, has anyone had this problem?

I've been using the Apple trackpad with the same Chromebook for the past year. It's a great setup...but I'd like the stand and the keyboard to elevate my laptop while working on the road. $180 isn't terrible...but I'm going to standby for a sale before I jump on this bandwagon.

I just carry around a 60% mechanical keyboard in a hard case, a logitech pebble mouse (fits in with thd keyboard) and a tablet with a sturdy phone stand. This is far more compact and portable but thd price is to high for a worse keyboard than the one i use and a trackpad.

Glad you reviewed this- I've seen it advertised a lot and think it could be useful when travelling. But.. I just do not understand the price point. It is way, way overpriced for what it is. I'm happy to spend too much money on gadget things.. but not when it's just obviously taking you for a ride. I'll wait until the inevitable discount!

Valid point. I think better options exist, at this price, should have a solid cooler built in, and option, for trackpad or mouse. Alot of folks might not like a trackpad ( like me ).

Acer 516 GE Chromebook, 8gb ram, 256gb, with 120hz screen, with Full size ethernet 2.5 and wifi 6E...Great chromebook! Amazon has a few upgrade versions (256,512,1tb, 2th, and one had a 4th version). The storage CAN be upgraded on this model, due to nvme ssd, however, the ram is sodered onto board. Hope this helps

I think someone pointed out that the keyboard is maybe a lesser version of the MX Keys Mini. I wonder if both keyboards feel the same. If they do, it kinda makes sense that Logitech would price this high. I still think it's overpriced though.

Too expensive, and bulky for me to throw into my laptop shoulder bag, so I just bought some stick on metal feet for my 14in Lenovo laptop for 10 bucks that raise it up off my desk, a Perixx wireless trackball for 30 bucks, and I just use the keyboard built into my laptop as it's good enough for me.

100%, Also if you want to raise your laptop up off your work surface there are plenty of metal stands for much cheaper that are slimmer, or you can get stick on metal feet for 10 bucks that will also raise up your laptop which is what I did along with a Perixx wireless trackball for 30 bucks. Also the quality control of Logitech stuff has been hit, and miss for me in recent years, so 180 bucks is a very hard sale for me.
