My G25's encoder wheel has a small crack in it, but I also noticed during disassembly that the plastic body to which the motors attach is also cracked. Can I just replace the encoder wheel and put it back together?

It is hard to fix. Do your best to repair both. If it is not working, replace with another encoder wheel. If you can’t find a replacement part, the solution is in video

I bought a new g27 in the box, but I had a calibration fix and opened it to check the plastic wheel, it didnt had any cracks so I moved it a little and adjusted the screws, I plugged it in and it worked like a charm but when I assembled it it stopped working and having the same issue as you. Do you think it might be a faulty cable going to the encoder? like u mention in 12:04

I think it is not all about cable. Check the connector legs on encoder pcb. Most probably one of them is seperated from pcb

Hay friend, I have problems with my g27, when connecting it to the pc the steering wheel turns to the right and then to the left any times, then it stops and the led light of the shifter starts to blink, you think it is the same problem.I would appreciate if you give me any advice.

Hello, ı think your original encoder wheel has a crack. So encoder counting wrong. The Best way to be sure is open it. İt is not hard. If ı am right it can be repaired. Or you should buy a new encoder wheel. Chose metal encoder wheel. If you cant find. You can do my solution too.

Hi bro, i have a g27 and its working, but it has a problem. Every time i plug it, it calibrates normally, but every time i rotate the wheel to the right side the center becomes 2% away from what it was, so if you rotate it 2 times to the right the center becomes 4% away from what it was and so on. After five minutes of playing a game, the wheel will be completely uncalibrated. And if unplug it and then replug it, it returns to normal, and then it does the same thing i said in the beginning. Please if you know any thing about my problem, tell me. Thanks for reading my message.

İt is all about encoder wheel. Disassembly the encoder disc. I bet there is a tiny crack. And the light is passing thrue. If you can't repair it, (maybe super glue can help) you must buy anotherone. I suggest to you buy a metal one. But be carrefull there is two type encoder for g27. 30 slot and 60slot

AAAAANNNNDDDDD, I WENT THROUGH THIS WHOLE HOUR LONG PROCESS, REPLACING THE ENCODER AND ITS STILL DOING THE SAME FUCKING THING.

I ended up putting a washer on the broken encoder to hold it together and now the whole thing works perfect....
