Logitech K380: Still Worth It in 2021?

Don’t want to seem rude, but when doing a keyboard review, try doing a key sound test and without music/voiceover. That’s an important part of a keyboard review that a lot of you reviewers over look. Some of us would appreciate having an idea of how the keys sound.

To anyone thinking of getting this, definitely get it! I'm interested in getting a mechanical keyboard as well because I am a writer and type a lot, but this is FANTASTIC for zoom calls, late night/early morning typing and just everyday use. I've set it up with a mouse and laptop stand for a great WFH experience. It's a joy to use, quiet but still satisfying, and it looks really nice and sleek. I agree that I wish it had little feet to angle it but it's not a deal breaker. I got the blue one and a blue mouse (not the pebble, another logitech bluetooth mouse that matches exactly) and it's actually a really nice aesthetic

I'm a mechanical keyboard user, but for the price, this is something I'd definitely recommend for anyone on a tight budget. It really looks like an amazing package for just $30. Plus, there's not a lot of keyboards at that price in that form factor. Many 60% keyboards are mechanical and usually start around $50. Indeed a great find!

I can vouch for the battery life. I've been using it daily for around 1.5 years and have not replaced the batteries once! Great keyboard.

@@HarryDigikid I would say it's average for a membrane keyboard. The keys don't take a lot of pressure to push down and feel a little mushy. Of course, a nice mechanical keyboard will always provide a better typing experience than something like this which is meant to be compact.

Logitech keyboards are too efficient, my battery lasted so long that it started leaking and ruined the keyboard so check them once in a while

IFTIKHAR ALAM Mine is black. No blue variant of M350 at least from where I live. M350 is the perfect match in terms of size but for color coordination go for M337.

Yes because it's cheap, it's comfortable for long sessions of typing and connects to 3 devices. Logitech should update to charge with usb c o usb mini!

Got my Logitech K380 in 2016 and using everyday since then. Such a nice device, I've changed batteries only this year for the first time! I had an apple keyboard before and used to change batteries after a couple of months at best.. Unbelievable

A masterpiece by Logitech. I bought mine in 2016 for $25 and I still use it in my desktop setup. Only recently have I thought of replacing it, but only to experience a mechanical one. It's also compatible with Logitech Flow.

I juts got mine and this thing is definitely one of the best keyboard out there. The silent keys are amazing, response is amazing, I've used it for gaming and YES it works as a bluetooth keyboard. No complaints.. And it works great with my minimal setup.

Definitely don't need to worry about the battery life, I've been using it for 3 years and counting and am yet to replace the original batteries. It's a perfect little keyboard, and has been my daily driver for the MacBook and iPad interchangeably!

I want to like this so much, as the design is funky and unique. Ultimately found the keys a little small and overall it felt cramped while using. I ended up getting the Logitech K580. That being said, if you want something portable and are willing to compromise (slightly) on comfort (although everyone has different size hands), go for it!

Just picked up a 2nd hand/returned one two weeks ago and it's working great for me as I work with my Chromebook while using a Tablet.....linked my phone to it as well just for the hell of it LOL. So far I am impressed as it switches seamlessly. Only issue I have is the "B" key occasionally pop's out.....(presuming it's due to being a "return" 2nd hand.......) but other than that it's great.

I use the Logitech M720 mouse with this kb. They both have 3 bluetooth channels, so you can set each device the same channel number.

I got this during a flash sale for $23. The circle keys took a little while to get used to,but now that I use it often I like it a lot more than laptop keyboards I’ve owned in the past. Pair it with a Logitech Bluetooth mouse and its PERFECT. Good review too.

I have stuck some self adhesive felt furniture pads either side of the battery compartment and they do the job of lifting the back slightly very nicely.

Got one last week and loving it. Had RK61 before and it goes to power saving mood and very annoying when you use it after a pause. This stays on and connects across PC & MAC very quickly.

I recently picked up an old K360 from work(free because we scrap things like that) It had the Unifying receiver also. Everything still works like a charm. This is still one of the best little keyboards on the market. It's super light, the keys last forever, and it's chicklet style keys are great to type on. I'll be snagging these whenever they come through the line in the future. These are great little keyboards.

Thanks for the review. Typing this comment using K380 on Pocophone F1. :) I already using this keyboard since 2016, and it is a very good keyboard. I paired to my smartphone, Raspberry Pi 3B+ and smartTV. Very convinient. Since I am working as sysadmin, keyboard is very important especially during remote acces while vacation. It is very silent., and currently typing while laying on bed at 3 AM. It uses 2 AAA alkaline batteries, and yes, it has more than 1.5 years of battery life. It is very economical, because whe can change the battteries easily, compared to keyboard with built-in rechargeable battery.. i wish Logitech can makes upgraded K380 model with Bluetooth LE + Unifying wireless capability, similar to my other Logitech wireless keyboard K375S. Been using it for more than a year now, it's awesome. It's not for big hands though. Normal hands max, it's not the biggest keyboard. The keypress feel is awesome, the sound is good, only con is at bootup it needs like a second or two to get started. K810 is actually this keyboard but perfectly sized... shame it was discontinued.

Just got mine, I have used it for gaming with no issues (League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege) and I can't elaborate on the key sounds.... it's INCREDIBLY silent and easy to use.

For me - k380 is STILL the BEST portable keyboard - perfect - it controls/alternate between 3 devices easy. Silence, very confortable, accurate, fast switching devices. It’s very hard to find a keyboard that controls 3 devices. Excelent keyboard STILL in 2021.

After 4 months of use, I'm begining to notice problems. For example, the a key gets mushy from time to time and sometimes doesnt register. The space bar has a metalic sound after the first week of use and my connection is getting worse. I dont know if I got a faulty one, but my experience so far has been underwhelming and I do not recomend it.

Definitely. I have two of these that I use at the office and home. It allows me to use my laptop as a second monitor to another larger one without stretching to use the keyboard. Love the feel and the ability to switch devices on the fly.

I have thid keyboard. This is this is a keyboard for occasional use ... not for daily long work. For normal work, the best for me is a traditional keyboard with a normal layout of the keys. I was looking for a wireless keyboard without a numeric block ... I have tried many (including k380). Neither was convenient due to the non-standard shape and layout of the keys

Pinoy Techdad v2 i found the solution. I read this on a forum. Roll up a tiny ball of aluminum foil about the size of a small pea. Place it in the battery compartment before the batteries (in between the spring and the negative end of the first battery). I was shocked to see that this actually works! Somehow the batteries were not connecting, and the foil helps connect the circuit.

Been using this for about 3 months. Everything else is great but the keys are a bit small acc to me. Also don't like them being circular. You can already see how going from d to c etc is going to be super hard on this. Had to buy another one for work. It's great for portability and casual work like browsing, media etc

Haha, I am typing this on this keyboard. I think it will take some time to getting used to this. This is a very good quality keyboard and in some time, I will start to absolutely love it. I have though mixed feeling about minimal keyboards because it loses a bit of comfort. My hands feel like there is much less space now, but again my laptop keyboard was just the same size + the num pad. It is minimal and that is the biggest plus. Aesthetically very pleasing.

I just bought it, so far I really like it. It's paired to my desktop, and my ipad. The key's are pretty quite and I usually type quickly and with a bit of force, so its' good to know that I won't be typing to loudly for everyone around me. My only issue is that the letters that I type don't seem to appear on the screen as quickly as I type them, not sure if this can be adjusted with Logi Options, will try soon!

I bought this 2 weeks ago and i love it! It's easy to connect and typing on it feels great. Only gripe would be the unit I got had a lil issue with the spacebar, it makes a squeaking sound. Its really annoying. Super malas lang for me. Still, I highly recommend this also!

I have 4 of these model. One grey from 2015 is slightly broken because of liquid damage. Two blues and one rose pink are fine.

I have the K480 keyboard, I'm using it to type this message right now, it has the slot at the top so that you can insert a tablet or mobile phone for instance, I think I prefer it to this k380 especially the enter key on mine is bigger and better. The keys are better spaced out so I'm not restricted or bunched up.

This would be a perfect keyboard for me only if it had backlight. I work a lot at night and backlight is very important. Only because of this I’m considering the high price jump to the Logitech MX keys. Bummer 😔 Great review though!
