If you disassemble the mouse, you can see it's a very simple one, with average quality (cheap, equivalent to its price). The internal mid-button is different than the left and right. From my experience, it's poorer quality and it seems it does not live very long, I have baught two of them, the mid button becomes unresponsive after 2-3 weeks of use (one has to press really hard on it). My only problem with it is the mid-button...

I don't own one but I am interested. But I have a question. When the 220 goes into sleep mode to save the battery, does it instantly wake up when you bump the mouse (like my old Logitech M557) or, like a few mice I have tried recently, do you have to click on it and wait a second or two for it to wake up before it responds?

Thanks for the review. I think Logitech should take a different angle with their marketing of this mouse. M220 - 🐭 The Quiet Mouse (as quiet as a mouse). The problem is it is not a 'silent' mouse - the clicks are quiet but not silent. Silent means NO sound. Also, according to other reviews, the wheel is not silent or even quiet. Other than the misleading marketing, the mouse seems cool though - simple and compact.

mine is totally inconsistent, sometimes i click it and there is an audible sound much less than a regular mouse, other times its barely audible at all. The inconsistency is what I find infuriating and totally distracting when I use it.

Is that a normal AA battery because the marketing info makes it sound like a special 18-month battery and I don't want to have to order a special battery every 18 months?

So I plugged the receiver into the USB port, turned the mouse on and it's not working. I went into my settings and it's listed on there but still no luck. I even replaced the battery it came with and still not working.

Stay right away from this product. I bought it last year but have only just started using it, maybe four weeks ago and the mouse left click button has failed. Won't click anymore. The keyboard is awesome but worst mouse I've every owned. I'll never buy Logitech again!!! So annoyed

2nd mouse failing within a year. Left clicker failed. 22£ in a drain. Poor product.

It's junk don't wast your money on it. i threw one away it doesn't work the single click to open a window doesn't work it has no drivers and there is no support for it, the buttons were supposed to be where you sent them how you want them but they don't cause there's no software what so ever. and the power sleep mode didn't work as well .. save your money and find something else.
