The ridge is Everything that is great about this mouse. I put the tip of my ring finger draped over it for superior control.

The ridge is there because this has and primarily has always been a 1-3-1 palmgrip type mouse. Your pinky goes under the ridge while your ring finger is a stabilizer. I just got this mouse and coming from a G Pro, it took me a while to get used to, but man oh man is my aim as good as ever now.

@6:30 the thing you don't understand, try to grip it with 1-3-1 palmgrip, and you will understand. It was originally made for 1-3-1 grip :)

You can program those dpi buttons, but I would only hotkey the top one as you always hit the others by accident. I have the g400s.

Here is a fix for the scroll wheel.. Take out the scroll wheel and bend the metal rod up then resemble and it should make the wheel a lot more tactile and less loose
