thank you for this teardown! Out of curiocity (and in case you still have the camera like this), could you remove the thermal pads of the two chips on the circuit board at 6:45, and tell us what chipsets they are using?

​@@Evasive0 I was able to check it now. The small chip: RT5024 GQW 7HR4V (seems to be this one maybe: www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/richtek-usa-inc/RT5024GQW/16376651) The big chip: Logi VideoCore 334-000155 2034-BU2SS2 X00685 (I guess some proprietary Logitech chip)

@@jvlob Thank you so much for this information! It certainly sounds like that PMIC chipset indeed. My best guess would be that the Logi chipset could be a licenced Broadcom Videocore module of some sorts.. AFAIK the Videocore range is not only for GPUs, but also for video en- and decoding. It seems Logitech didn't go cheap on this webcam in any case.

I ordered from amazon and received a used product. I think the 3rd and 4th screws are missing, the product head is slightly protruding. Can you help me with what size screws should I buy?

There are quite a few screws hehe. Can you tell me exactly which ones are you referring to? Maybe put the timestamp of the video.

@@madiouS_ I just measured them. They seem to be the same as the outer ring ones: 1.65mm diameter x 6mm length 👍🏽

Do you know if I can get a replacement for the cable somewere? Or do I need to find a donor cam?

As far as I know there is no a proper cable replacement. The USB-C port was broken on this one and I had to solder a new port as I couldn't find the whole replacement.
