I got this HOTAS as an upgrade of my Saitek X45, which I too had forever. It was my first hotas after my Saitek Gladiator I think it was called. I love the X56, but it is a lot to learn after having the same hotas for so so long. I'm sure you will love it, its excellent for DCS and other modern sims.

I'm thinking about buying this setup. But I seen many opinions (mostly from before logitech brought previous company that were making them) that stick are too long and it's hard to use buttons and hats at too while having hand rest at the bottom. Did you seen such problem? It's hard to tell for me from the video

I have not had a problem with the hand rest and I actually find it comfortable. I can reach most of the buttons and hats easily but I do have to stretch a bit to reach the top "A" button. For my hand size everything feels pretty good overall.

I found the X56 throttle to be way too stiff for Squadrons. Really nice for DCS though. And you got me lmaoing at 9:10 good job!

Thank you! I agree with you about the throttle tension. After using it for a few months, the lever is too stiff for all of the aggressive/frequent back and forth throttling I do in Squadrons. I still need to give DCS a try too. Cheers!

Yes and I may do that for the crazy rounds in Squadrons! I thought about securing the bases with some 3M Command Strips so as not to damage the desk surface. 👍

Lol, yes my wallet shed a few tears... but maaaan is this thing fun to use. Walmart had them the cheapest I could find, or rather, the least marked up 🤔
