After waiting for Yamaha 1840 home theatre, I went with Sony IV300. It is loud system. Bass is way high with maximum volume of 33. Overall fine system. If now I had a chance to replace then I would have gone with the Z906. It is all in one old school rock solid system. Sony isn't bad but for overall comparison logitech Z906 seems a better option..

@@spartaan2232 there's a mode called sound field under audio setting. Also you can increase individual speaker's volume. That will help a bit in clarity.

I have a Sony HT IV 300, it supports practically all popular video formats such as MKV, MP4, AVCHD and many more. 4k formats aren't supported, but it will upscale full HD content to 4K resolutions if you connect it to a 4K TV. The most common audio standards available are Dolby Digital Pro Logic II and DTS Neo 6 for Cinema and Music. The overpower bass can be reduced by lowering the dB output of the sub in speaker setup settings. The mid range and chanel Seperation gets enhanced through Sony Proprietary Clear Audio+ mode. So far i am loving it.... The only thing it lacks is an equalizer. But still i am happy with just the sound modes.

I am using Yamaha HTR 5730 Since 1995. No need for upgrading. Have added Bluetooth . Till now no repairs. Cleaning done every year with PCB cleaner. Have added Two Yamaha Floor Standing Towers. My neighbour next door and opposite my house have appreciated the sound quality many times. We five friends purchased on same day in 1995 in Dubai. They purchased Bose, Marantz, Denon, JBL. Only my Yamaha is working till now.👍

I bought the iv300. The shop had one piece only because nowadays soundbars only. Compared it with s40r & this had better sound. Also sound are crystal clear. Use the digital format. Great experience in movies & music. This guy just saying online without comparing real life

Nice review Vineet ...one point u missed is on the life of these ..yamaha outshines all on that second with yamaha one can easily change any speaker if that goes bad or one wants to enhance the experience. Like adding a floor standing full range speaker will enhance the music output a lot

Dear Vineet, I'm already using Z906 for last more than 10 years and having no regrets as far as the sound is concern. I also believe in Yamaha but the comparable sound quality is costlier in terms of money. Still what do you suggest to buy a New Yamaha under 50K. Logitech Z 906, THX approved, pure 500 RMS with Signal to noise ratio: >93.5 dB, typical 100. Input impedance: 8,000 ohms. None are compared to Z906 class. I love the sound the BASS awesome its ground shaking, room shaking whatever I just love to watch the movies and play games. Kindly don't watch movies from youtube to judge the sound system as youtube movies are stereo. Use Netflix then you will see the difference clearly the pure 5.1 channel Dolby Digital DTS. Use optical cable for THE BEST sound effects.

I own the Sony HT IV300 for more than 2 years now...Superb bass, but yes mids and highs are not up to the mark, so I connected the system with my LG 4k tv which has Harman Kardon tuned speakers, and belive me, it's 10 times better now. Haven't heard Logitech model sound but heard Yamaha..Yes it lacks that punchy bass and sound is also low compared to Sony. Btw...Very nicely explained. 😊

If you want to attach it with your PC then buy Logitech, and if with TV then Sony. Bass is almost same in both, but Sony has an upper hand here. You can even control the Bass in its settings 😊

Sony IV300: PROS: - 4K passthrough - Connectivity Options - Heavy Bass - High Value for money Cons: - Surround speaker volume is very low in Dolby and DTS compared to FL & FR. - High frequency bandwidth is poor - Vocals are not Clear. - No graphic Equalizer I resolved the above cons using ffdshow decoder and AC3 filter along with KLite Codec pack with media player classic and added a tweeter for the center channel.

Ordered yamaha 1840 based on your recommendation, i just loved it.One of the the pictures you show is yamaha 3072 av receiver and not yamaha 2071 which bundles with yamaha 1840. Hence no USB port and no YPAO as you mentioned, but that doesn't wipe the fact of its incredible crystal clear yet immerse audio quality.

Hey Vineet, you already know my needs. So should I go with Yamaha or buy a little bit high end av reciever and speakers with bluetooth and wifi support. Which would be a better choice I am going to use it in a room a bit smaller than medium size filled with furniture and stuff. BTW excellent video you are proving yourself in everyway. Very good, unbiased analysis. I have Sony HT IV 300 and I know it's best for music but overpowered bass is very annoying and irritating while watching action movies! But we can't keep all the world's music systems at our homes, so I went for Sony as listening music was my priority.

Sir I am fan of your videos, I frequently wath those. while your videos really convinced me the fun of Home Theatre and Soundbar... I was thinking of buying a Home theatre at the budget of 30K and I could see YAMAHA YHT-1840 as best surround HT in that category in your videos... but I have Marq 55" TV (Without ARC Port, but have Optical and Folby Digital) though I frequently use Laptop as input to TV... I really do not intend to use Android apps on TV will continue to use Laptop, so was thinking of using that as input to YHT1840 and use HDMI OUT to TV in addition to that I have Creative 5.1 xfi sound blaster soundcard for my laptop too(as an option having 5.1 and Optiocal Out) and a Blapunkt Soundbar SBWL-01 Dolby Digital 200w but I really was dying to get good surround sound 5.1 or so is not having ARC still a major concern to stop me from buying that? my biggest attraction is Movies with surround sound (say 5.1 though not atmos) can you plese suggest if Yamaha YHT 1840 is the bet for me?

I want to say ek aisa video baniye jis mai konsa tv ke sath konsa home theater kharid na 4ah hi hai for optimum experiance is jis ka ek series banaye. like vu ke 4k 50 inch premuim & ultra ke sath sony iv 300 or Yamaha yht 1840 konsa jada best hoga. aise tv+home theater ka combination video series start ki jiye.
