I like 2, Adam's monogram despite the H being read first. I think it’s ok because when you read ‘Bent Hansen’, it is then you realize the B is before the H. Logo 3 (by Marcus). I read it as ‘Hi’ . The screw with the angles is kinda strange because I don’t see a repeating angle anywhere on the logo. I also think the screw concept is an ‘afterthought’ when he was designing the mark. I think the logo would be better without the screw. Just like that angles, the Box above the chair is odd how it’s just there. The B in black has sooo much black, it needs more white or negative space to break up the heavy amount of black (half black/half white makes a good logo). I still don't understand why a protractor is used for a 'simple' and 'quick' sketch. It's waste of time just for getting an idea on paper. For the second logo, I think number 1 is better. It has a nice interesting form(thin points may get lost when reduced to smaller size) I think that having another version for smaller size with thicker points can resolve problem. Though I like Hadeel's concept, I don’t like the mark, nor do I like the logotype. Too many tricks with the crossbar on ‘A’ removed. I get the vibe of a gem for the mark. It doesn’t look interesting and it’s oddly placed on the right. Is the reason because Japanese read write right to left? The color palette is nice and tasteful, and the branding is nice. To Hadeel and every young hot or not so hot designer, please DON’T go asking seasoned vets to do a design challenge against. You come off as cocky, not to mention, there should be a certain level of ‘respect’. If you want to challenge Chris, then it’s fair to have George Bokhua challenge you in a logo challenge. Lastly, if you have an attitude, good chance company won’t wanna hire you because there will be plenty of times where you have to collaborate with other designers on a project.

Sir I think the symbol of origami is great. But I think the typo doesn't go with it because if we think in terms of origami concept, the paper is a thin & light material also with a soft & texture on either side. I was looking for that feel & its too heavy. Also I didn't like the presentation.

BentHansen logo exploration is actually bad. B is too symmetrical (should have upper shoulder smaller), logo feels optically off-balanced, has no consistency (like round shapes for B while having straight lines for H) and that upper square in H actually reads, like "hi", and the letter "i" has nothing to do with company name. Not saying original or Adam's logo is good (they aren't), but Marcus did nothing that can be labeled as "Therapy" IMHO.

If you have to sketch ideas, especially typeface/font style Logos or any logo for that matter, you are not good enough or quick enough in Apps like Illustrator. Using a Compass and grided paper in 2019, nearly 2020 is ridiculous. Young Designers: The only reason you sketch Logos or the beginnings of Typefaces out is so you can charge the Client more, like pretending there was a great amount of preparatory work done before the Final Design. Here's another little trick; Do a couple of Logo Design quickly in Illustrator using shapes that you cut with other shapes or trim or weld. Then when you have your best version from the ones on the page, grab a piece of paper and work backwards, drawing versions away from you final Illustrator Design. Say 10 weaker or slightly different versions of the Final one. Then when you show the Client your pride and joy, the Final Illustrator (vector) logo, you can pull out all these seemingly early pencil drafts to show the Client and charge them for the lot. (All done within an hour!) Even Monster Companies fall for it, and they have cash to splash. Psst: Didn't see anything impressive here either. Great Artists don't teach....that's impossible to pass on.

It's more tha just some way to siphon more money, theres actually a purpose to it. It doesn't look good to bash designers for taking a logical design step, especially if it works.

Hadeel is aside her content very well prepared and despite few language issues and not trying to be entertaining in the first place either she's easy to listen to. It's a shame, he's doing good work I think but oh well.
