Hey your videos are really usefull and fun to watch but i miss one thing. Could you make a tutorial on how to do the shading properly. I find that the hardest part of making this kind of art. Keep it coming I enjoy watching your processes.

i dont know an easy way to explain that because shading follow the form you want to create. That you learn better from drawing. So start to draw basic shapes and learn how to do shading (add shadows to the 2d shapes so it form something that look 3d). For example draw a circle and add shadows so it look like a sphere, draw a rectangle and make it look like a cylinder and so on. And once you know how to shade basic forms like: sphere, cube, cylinder, cone then you can combine them to make more complex shapes.

Nice tutorial. At 35:03 you have a mass of colours shown on your palette - is that one already in Illustrator or can it be downloaded from somewhere?

i save colors from time to time in ai file that i can import in color swatches. you can pick color with eyedroper and save it in swatches, you can save as many as you want :)
