Logrolling a patient

This video is part of a new series of basic clinical skills videos.
It demonstrates how to logroll a patient with a suspected spinal injury. This is useful for examining the back of the patient or moving the patient onto a stretcher while maintaining inline stabilisation of the c-spine.
There is evidence that logrolling causes significant movement in an unstable spine and so other techniques such as straddle lift and slide or scoop stretcher are considered superior.

Traditionally its 3 hands under and 3 hands over, and a roll shouldn't be to 90 degrees.

To see if there any spinal injury ,if u have that injury u won't b able to squeeze on finger or if pt unconscious ,there could b blood in rectum or can be seen with CT scan or x-ray.
