This is a beautiful painting Lois. The foreground is fantastically good. Well done. You are so creative.

Thank you for showing me that landscapes need not be frightening (and so blooming green)!!!

This is such a moody and deeply reflective scene. Love the feeling you portrayed with this.

Thanks Lois. It was invaluable to see you pallette and the consistency of the colours ; we only ever see our own. I panicked when I saw the Niagara Falls of paint, but then the trick! Also, once again, pigment fades. A good lesson. 🙏

Thanks for sharing Lois, I thought those thirsty brush sweeps on the sand dunes created some nice depth. Great tip and lovely foreground and sky
The sky is very beautiful.😀🌹🍋 I will refer to it. Thank you.😄

☺️Beautiful Lois....🌅.....love the light depth and foreground texture... just wondered if you had considered some shadows on those foreground twigs/grasses/rocks? The birds definitely complete this composition. ✝️ Easter Blessings to you and your family Lois.🌷 🌷🌷🥰

This is absolutely gorgeous! I want to give it a go. Could you recommend a brand of light red?
@LoisDavidsonArt4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I use Cotman light red, but I'm sure most brands of light red or Venetian red would be fine

May I ask what brand of Payne’s grey that is? The Payne’s grey that I bought, which is a PWC brand, is basically black... 🤷♀️
@LoisDavidsonArt4 жыл бұрын
Malia Hunter mine is Cotman paynes grey, almost black when used thickly 😊

Thanks for your comment, all is very true, but with practice and some thought, these things can be learned and then the hake brush becomes a real pleasure to paint with 😊🖼🎨
