For smallies here in oregon, lizards win by far. I don't even consider the lizard a creature bait, which is what I would call the googan bait. The googan bait is almost too thick for most of the cookie cutter smallies. For largies I'd rock the brush hawg or a creature bait.

Googan baits are good no doubt, I am just saying yum and zoom are usually 3-5 dollars cheaper. But if there was a bin of googan bait on sale at the same price as yum or zoom. I’d definitely pick up the googan. Cheers 🍻

Senkos do the same thing. Its due to the quality in the action. Thats the drawback. Very sensitive material but killer action underwater.

@@feversgv Senkos are understandable. I pay more for a better senko and go through more of them, and since I catch a ton of fish on senkos it's worth it. However I still stick to Yamamotos because their color selection is just way better.

@@feversgv The reason Googan baits tear more is the amount of salt in the soft plastic.. There is alot of companies that make great action lures that dont tear as much but they wont sink as quick due to lack of salt in lure!! pretty much any plastic you get can get from companies like ZMan for example compared to Googan id get in Z man the plastic is better IMO and stretches rather then tears.. but Yea over doing the salt is what i personally dont love about googan baits they tear easy!(Zman was Just example of less salt and still has Great action with out the high risk tear)

In true BamaBass Fashion for the spawn, a zoom lizard should be magnum size, pumpkin chatreuse color, and weightless. That's how I use them as well, it would be cool to see a comparison with both weightless., which I may do.

Lojo i love your channel and ive watched you for a long time and im not saying i think the zoom lizard is better BUT you have every reason to make the trench hawg look better, you're a member of googan, your opinion and video content will always be biased as long as you're in the googan squad . I have never used the Zoom Magnum lizards like they are here,, but the smaller, 6" Zoom junebug/chartruese tail lizard is money in the fishing lake where I fish at work. I have never used the Trench Hawg but the Googan Banddito Bug, the Kracken Kraw, and the Mondo worm have all caught alot of bass for me.

I’ve never really used the trench hawgs more than a handful of times, but I never skunked! I took the junior trench hawgs in baby blue the other day, and probably caught 30 bass. I went through a whole pack in a matter of a couple hours!

Ur right about the lizard, especially here in Bama but I think the Yum lizard is way better than Zooms... I keep a bag of both, even tho they look similar, the Yum lizard has some stupid action to it. Not as much salt, they're great with a very light weight like a an 1/8th or 1/16th oz weight!! .. weightless is always an option but a very subtle light bullet weight just keeps the bait sitting there but still let's the natural water current let the legs n tail do their thing!!!!! Good vidja tho.. as always!

I wish, spawn is still over month away on the northeast coast.. but they close bass season completely during the spawning month they will fine you if bass fishing during spawn and fine you and confiscate your gear they catch you targeting beds... but we get a shot at pre and post spawn fish

Should try these same baits right out of the bag next time. None of this, googan bait with Spike It Dip n Glo Garlic scent and the Zoom just plain. Not sure if you did it the 2nd day but, you did mention it the first day. I could see you using it on the googan the second day and not mentioning it though.
