Dang. I was hoping you'd found a front-mount return spring bracket which also worked on the Sniper w/ the awesome Lokar cables. I prefer for the force to not all be pulling the shaft against the back of the bushing; theoretically, a front-mounted return spring should cause less wear long-term.

I am trying to figure out how to put a throttle cable on a 2 barrel that I had to put on backwards on my 65 chevy van. It's on back wards so it will fit under the doghouse.

Buy a FAST 304147 bracket and add a holley 20-16 extension arm. Clearance the FAST bracket some for the extension arm width.

hi i know this is an older video but my throttle cable just broke. i need the first cable you shown here. the one that wouldn't work for you. that one looks exactly like the one i use.. i took mine off a 85 ford f250 with 5.0l fuel injection set up. i made it work by using the parts from that truck. i modified them to make them my own mounting brackets.. if you still have it i'll buy it from you for a reasonable price. if not i want to know where you got it from and or, a part number. i appreciate your time for posting this video

I did the extra 2 inches of slack in the housing like the instructions say, and my cable gets too tight to pull it full throttle with the pedal now. Would shortening the housing help stop it from binding?

What do you do if your pedal travel isn't enough to move your throttle through the full range?

Use a mounting hole on the linkage farther out from the pivot point (the throttle shaft).

@@DannySauer Yeah the problem there is that its already maxed out. It's at the top of the throttle linkage and at the lowest part on the carb throttle itself.

@@Seth-de9pd Ideally you could extend the gas pedal's linkage farther from the pivot point, but if nit, you can bolt a flat piece onto the carb linkage to extend that out. You have to increase the radius on one end or the other. Alternatively, you can add a bellcrank in between (like on a double carb serup) and a second cable or a small threaded rod w/ rod ends, to increase the effective throw distance.
