In the comics, the Infinity Stones only have power in the universe they were formed in. The Stones from "Endgame" were of that universe, just different timelines. If they are not in the universe they were formed in, they are just paperweights.

This episode was insane. I was fully expecting Victor to betray them or something like that... BUT TURNING TO SPAGHETTI?? (which I think is funny since Reed Richards and Nathaniel Richards are meant to be related and both turned into spaghetti). Insane. And what happened after was even crazier. I can't wait to see where this goes next. Congrats on getting noticed by ScreenCrush! Even though you turned them down, it'd be interesting to see a discussion between you and another MCU enthusiast, could be fun. It was funny to see Ouroboros referencing himself, and I definitely agree with it not being a closed look as one might think. Poor Mobius got yelled at by Sylvie. My man just wanted some pie. GIVE HIM SOME PIE. That meat cube death was INCREDIBLY gruesome. Truly one of the most extreme in the MCU. The cube, along with Victor's hot cocoa, his spaghetti body, and Mobius's pie I think make up the "Loki Meal". I also don't think the infinity stones wouldn't work. Not necessarily because they're not part of the magic dampeners, but because of what they established in the first episodes of season 1 (and a rule that What If... eventually broke, but I digress), which is that infinity stones don't work outside their own universe. Overall, great breakdown! Can't wait for ep 5. Definitely agree with you that Loki's gonna start timeslipping again, but we'll see how they handle it. Also, give me Paint Kang

The episode didn't just "fade" to black, it sharply stuttered to silence and blackness, like we were actually experiencing the end of everything. No sense of further "Tune in to the show next week" tease, no music, just clipping-abrupt nothingness, & then credits with, what almost seems a funeral-like song playing. And Victor Timely being set up like he's doing the hero thing, only for that rapid delaminating to happen to him, you are stunned they did that, but it also isn't totally out of nowhere because O.B. said the amount of Time energy had massively increased. The effect of the Loom leaking & falling in, and then the following shockwave looking like it's erasing everything, and this feeling of the natural state of Time being reset to normal. All of those things combine with the characters' reactions to make a stand out cliffhanger. As you said, Loki and the rest will try to keep it from happening later, but right here, it was expertly done.

Some of them even have cappuccino or espresso.

What if the start of the multiverse is the Loom breaking? And that Loki is gonna timeslip inside the TVA at the exact moment everything explodes, and he tries again to save it, only every time he fails, Timely gets spaghettified and makes a new Kang in a new universe?

That's definitely a viable theory. My theory is that it was just the temporary end of the 616 universe, but that Loki will time slip and find a way fix it. But your theory has alot of merit and could be the answer. Can't wait to find out in the next two episodes. Such a great series!

Like others have commented in here, I think you’d be awesome on new rockstars! I often listen to your videos while working out or walking where I follow just fine without the video. I know it can be anxious going in-front of a massive audience like that for the first time, but I think you’d kill it and it would help your channel grow significantly!! Can you make a theory video on how he who remains says he’s from 31st century and victor timely is from the 19th wouldnt that eliminate the possibility he being the exact variant of he who remains like that’s not the one that becomes him ?

Yeah, that's such an interesting puzzle. I wonder if part of the trick is that HWR didn't actually say he was from the 31st century. In his speech, he says "a variant of me from the 31st century"...so that opens the door that HWR wasn't actually from the 31st century himself, even if some of the other Kangs were. But I'm still unsure how Victor becomes HWR. That part of the mystery has yet to unfold.

So much crazy stuff to keep up with when watching this show! I got pretty confused when Loki pruned himself, but it makes a lot more sense now. And I agree with you that the knowledge passed between Timely and OB isn't necessarily a closed loop if it originated from the Sacred Timeline version of Timely, but we also don't necessarily know that that's the case. The fact remains that we've seen how changes in the past affect present-day OB, so his knowledge could've come from the branch timeline Timely who got his knowledge from the TVA book. Either way, I have NO idea where this is going next, but I like your theories. I'm really interested to see the Sacred Timeline versions of all the TVA people. Great video, as always!

Good points about OB and Victor. We don't know if OB got his knowledge from the Victor in the branch or from the Victor in the sacred timeline. That would be wild, if it was from the one in the branch. Wonder if they'll explore that further. And I agree, it will be great to see the Sacred Timeline versions of all the TVA workers. I think there is a tie. 18:50 When open and "Time" goes throughout the Multiplier, it spins all by itself. "Time" powers it. The point of the machine is to condense Multiple "versions" of current "time" at once. I think one might be based on the other, but i'm not sure if they are the same thing. but the function of the ball Victor made is to combine the different versions of the same events. Example : Up/down/left/right/straight/back etc are all ONE line event. 2+2 = 4 / 3+1= 4 and 4+0 = 4. They all have the same answer.

But I'm sure that more opportunities will came❤️ About the infinity stones I'm sure that they said that if a Infinity Stone it's out of his own "timeline" it doesn't work anymore, and that's because they don't work on the TVA. 😊 And about the end of the episode really don't have words, this episode it's sooooo incredible that I can't wait to the next week, and the VFX team it's doing an amazing job in this season. My head it's going to explode with all the theories, I think that because the Time Loom exploded and it was the inicial solution of the time slipping of Loki, now that it's gone, Loki are time slipping again. Now that we will see the real life of the variants I hope that we know more about OB because he is more intriguing now that we know that their job it's inspired by Timely. I don't know, I only know that I love the spaghettification. 😂

I do think that Loki time slipping is going to be the result of going through the temp pad that Sylvie has, which is obviously the temp pad off he who remains which for some reason this makes him time slip. Yup, I think you are correct. It seems like that tempad is causing him to timeslip. So maybe Sylvie pulled him into a time door right before the loom's explosion hit them? There's only one thing that confuses me about He Who Remains, the fact that he says he "isolated" his timeline means that the other kangs never ceased to exist, so if the multiversal war was still going on outside the sacred timeline, does it mean that the Multiverse was always "dying"? (as the exiled Kang said), and if the multiverse died, wouldn't the sacred timeline be affected? Doesn't the Multiverse involve everyone?

Great question! So, it seems the Kang from QM destroyed alot of the extra timelines before he was defeated and exiled. Then, HWR "won" the war, which seemed to mean he beat the other Kangs back abit by weaponizing Alioth, but ultimately, he just insulated the sacred timeline from them. So I wonder if the other Kangs in the council realized that they were causing all kinds of issues with their behavior and have dialed it back abit. But in the end, if they are still creating incursions, it would just wipe out one (or both) of those two universes, leaving the rest of the multiverse intact. So, perhaps they are still causing incursions and they don't care, as long as they aren't impacted by them (i.e. they keep destroying the other universes as needed). Just some of my thoughts on it. I suspect we'll learn more as the multiverse saga moves along!

When Sylvie killed He Who Remains and opened up all the branched timelines and such or the multiverse. I had it in my head that he was sort of suppressing the multiverse and when it opened it would lead to unintentional damage(Kinda like bottling something up causing the glass bottle to explode, in a way the Multiverse is "natural", what wasn't was holding it in. That was a long time ago though and is no longer my feelings on it.

While I don't think the sacred timeline is the multiverse, I do think that the loom was artificially holding it back from creating the branched timelines and that in a way, the universe was creating chaos through the different Loki's to break free from the loom. Awesome video as always! I love how each new episode of this show keeps destroying my theories haha! In my last comment I theorized that Miss Minutes wanted to sabotage Ravonna and create a new HWR, so that she could get a new body and basically "try again". But here she didn't think twice of joining Ravonna and going against Timely. She clearly still loves HWR ("You will never be like him"), but she doesn't consider Timely a good "substitute" for the love she lost, which destroys my theory. But this is good, it means the writers are always ahead of me, and I like it. But now I'm kinda scared of theorizing anything more, so I'll just ask you a question: why do you think that destroying the Loom would also destroy the 616 universe? From what I understand, the Loom is what keeps the Sacred Timeline "isolated" from the rest of the Multiverse, so wouldn't destroying the Loom just "un-isolate" it, allowing for the bridges to form and for the rest of the Multiverse, including the other Kangs, to come in?

Great question about the loom...yes, I do think that if it's shut off, then the timelines will "roam wild" across the multiverse. However, it seemed like the blast wave of the loom spread out everywhere and thus that it damaged or destroyed the sacred timeline. It also seemed that fading to black was a way of saying everything as gone. But just my theory on that. We'll find out in just a few short days!

Great discussion I really loved this episode and video One interesting thing to note from the kang in quantumania is this along with the Loom and the way we see time is that the time and the multiverse as a whole is more than just a theoretical idea or something outside of this universe but something far more practical and physical. With incursions and the way he describes these collisions it sounds like the timelines are taking up so much physical space in the multiverse that they are colliding with each other, like adding a ton of more cars on a road. Very interesting, could just be an analogy but I thought it was worth pointing out. Crazy and awesome that you got recognized by screencrush themselves. Totally understand turning it down but that’s still really awesome. I was kinda surprised that when convincing victor to join, Loki didn’t mention the whole possible end of time and the universe as we know it lol. I feel like that’s a pretty big detail that would get him to help. Great scene still though As for how people like Brad are able to go back to the sacred timeline I really think that it’s as simple and convenient as it doesn’t create another kang. I’m starting to think that changes to the timeline without branching can and do occur all the time, like endgame, they just happen to not create another kang. The way that this, and even small videos like the butterfly effect one show us that you can still “kill the butterfly” (or perhaps original “Brad” in this example) and the TVA can come in bring in a new butterfly or “Brad” (x15) and it’s all good. Just as long as it’s close enough and doesn’t create a new kang it’s fine. It’s a very lazy explanation but I do think it’s the way marvel is leading us at the moment. This really feels like one of the best episodes in the entire mcu and I really can’t wait for us to see more

As far as time-related things, I've said it before but "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... timey wimey... stuff." Would be fun if the Infinity Stones now work, though I doubt we'll ever know. A little weird thing is him questioning that they still call him "He Who Remains" when he should know that (He Who Remains I mean). One final thought, will we see in episode 5 or 6 it explain WHY he was timeslipping in episode 1 since they did that whole episode 1 and 4 tie.

My theory is, that during Loki Season 2 episode 6, Kang the conqueror will escape the Multiversal Engine Core, who gets stranded in the Void, saving Ravonna Renslayer from being consumed by Alioth, who will then tame the beast, then at the end of the same episode Loki will go on to run the TVA during the events of Deadpool 3, but then during the events of Avengers The Kang Dynasty, Kang the Conqueror along with Ravonna Renslayer will usurp the power that Loki has over the TVA, leading to Loki warning the Avengers, then they will fight the Council of Kangs, but at the end of the film, Kang the Conqueror will prune all of the other timelines, leaving only the Sacred Timeline, then during the events of Avengers Secret Wars, the Avengers fight Kang the Conqueror, but will then help redeem Kang the Conqueror of his evil ways, leading him to become He Who Remains!

one huge question i still have is how is the citadel at the end of time which holds the sacred timelines and and the temporal loom which refines the raw time into a stable timeline exist at the same time in different places? when we see it when it's the healthy the thick cord it just goes right off screen, does that somehow lead to the "flat circle" timeline? is the pre-loom just the end of the timeline that naturally becomes undone and has to be reloomed? what is outside the tva aka where is it? could it also be at the end of time? or the beginning of time? are those the same since it's a loop? i know that's multiple questions but they all have the same answer pretty much, how can these both exist? i noticed that at the citadel we never actually see the whole timeline we only come out of it and see it at the same angle could the tva just be on the other side?

Fantastic questions...so it does seem that time is a circle, with the void being the end and the loom being the beginning. But I agree, I don't know where the TVA is located and I don't know where the citadel is located. We know that you can travel from the void to the citadel, as we saw in Loki S1 E5/6. But did they actually go through a portal to get there? I really hope they give us a clearer picture of how it all fits together. I love the visuals we are getting so far, but I still want to see more of how it all connects. Hope we get that in the next two episodes!

Notice loki never changes his location. so he is NOT going back in timem it's moving through space. He's at the same place in the circle one level above. Meaning it's overlapped The Start and the End. Does this make sense? To put it simply it's Loki isn't moving through time. he's moving in space.

What i think happened is that after loom bursting out the 616 timeline is uncontrolled and so producing infinite new branches. 42:30 This is exactly what i think happened. Means there was not much kang variants before the loom destruction. But after it bursted these kang varients born in different timelines and made a council.

I think OB was either Victor's assistant or an android whose AI helped Nathaniel Richards implement and produce the designs made by Victor (in S2E1, there's a weird mechanical noise that plays when OB moves his head around while remembering the Temporal Extractor). Maybe an old Victor only got so far as to make theoretical plans, always held back by the technology of the late 19th and early 20th century and his work took his whole life to make. The failsafe HWR made was helping a young Victor by giving him what he already would have made as he grew older regardless. Perhaps his fascination with the hot cocoa machine was a hint that he may have been working on such a design as we see he had already invented a beverage chair, he also immediately knew how to operate the machine and made a darn good hot cocoa cup for the TVA agent (maybe he adjusted some settings and the result was visible on the agent's face). The vintage design of the TVA is also a massive clue that it's new technology based on vintage designs.

Also, can we revisit your video on The Exiled One? What if it's neither Kang nor HWR but Victor Timely. He could have been exiled to an earlier period to give him a massive handicap to his skill: lack of technology. They didn't kill him so what if exiling him to a time where he would not have the means to discover or travel the multiverse would be the council's way of making sure he has no way of competing. i think the Quantumania mid-credits scene is also pulled from Loki S2 but from the very end of it.

I do think that the void is basically the end of the circle (i.e. the big crunch) and the loom is pulling in the raw time to re-create it into new timelines (i.e. the big bang) and it just keeps going in a circle. The ending was beautiful! I really need an explanation for who He Who Remains was, before he was HWR, was he a Victor Timely from a different timeline and therefore knew that Victor would be good enough for his backup plan? Also, was OB the original He Who Remains and was replaced by the HWR from the end of season 1? I have seen the theory around a bit and I love it because in the comics HWR was not a Kang variant but just a random person and that could be why OB knows everything and did not have his memory erased, I just love his character and would love to learn more about him and hopefully we get that.

Those are great theories. It is interesting revisiting HWR's speech at the end of S1, as he credits a different variant of his with discovering the multiverse and the other Kangs and he also credits a different variant with finding Alioth. The only thing he takes credit for is weaponizing Alioth and winning the war by isolating the sacred timeline. So HWR's origin is therefore a big mystery that I do hope they unveil in the last two episodes. I also hope we learn more about OB, as he's such a cool character. Excellent feedback!

I have a question that may be a bit off topic but I'm curious what you think. Like a lot of hardcores, I'm seeing the Marvels next Thursday. But Loki season finale also drops that same day at the same time! Which begs the question: in what order does Marvel expect us to watch these? Not what order is chronological. That's obvious! If we went by Chronology both seasons of Loki are immediately after Endgame and certainly before Quantumania. But we must remember that Quantumania was supposed to be in the Marvels slot until they switched them 2 date changes ago. And we keep hearing rumors of an incursion taking place in the Marvels so the question of order leaps to the forefront of my mind. I'm going to see the movie first because again I am hard-core. And I don't think there will be any significant reason you have to view one before the other. BUT the more I think about, the more mad I get that this is even a question. If they had started Loki even one week earlier, we wouldn't have this dilemma. Hell, of Loki had just started on Tuesday night prime time in Ahsoka's slot, we wouldn't be in it. I can't move the movie to Friday because I'm going to Disneyland that day (you have to make reservations which is lame!) So I'm not going to be able to see Loki until next Saturday at the earliest. So what would you suggest to your fans on how they should handle this?

Such a great question...I've been pondering that as well. I suspect that it doesn't matter in the end, as we know The Marvels is much later in the timeline, but I do suspect that watching the finale first would have made more sense. Bummer Marvel didn't move Loki 1 week earlier in the schedule. But with Ahsoka's finale, I wonder if they felt they needed to avoid that overlap? It is a strange situation. That said, I'm doing what you are doing and watching The Marvels at 5:00 EST and then Loki at 9:00 EST. Gonna be a day filled with lots of Marvel content!

I think it s important to explain why branches are bridges to other universes: it s matter of probabilities, each branch contains events closer and closer to what happens in other universe but could not happen in their original one. Meaning that with enough time anything that can happen will happen arriving inevitably to the frontier of the things that can t happen (they can t happen because they would need another set of laws meaning another universe thus we get the incurssions and bridges). So if you dont want something or someone specific to exist you must literally control the flow of time like the one who remains did

You know, i put on episode 1 and 4 at the same time, to see if it syncs up. parts of it do. the phone rings for the same amount of time, The hallway where loki sneaks up on himself is almost 100% a match. Episode 1 cuts back to the loom while episode 4 takes the lead But when it cuts away from loki on both episodes we see The loom room at the same time, we see outside by the loom at the same time. Sylive has issues with the elevator at the same time mobius smashes the button over an over until it works. Episode 4 loki never sees Sylvie coming out of the elevator. And re-watching episode 4 your eyes are instantly drawn again to Cassy moving the Expander when O.B. is distracted... Why does he take it downstairs alone, by himself and while no one is paying attention? It's very strange.

There is something that is bothering me more than I probably should, but I figured that if anybody would be interested in helping me figure it out it would be somebody like you. In episode 1, when Loki jumps to the Future the living room is empty and relatively dark with the word skin still traced into the Dust like nobody had really messed with anything in there. In episode 4, Oroboros add Victor timely are in there working at that moment and OB really hasn't left since episode 1, so I would assume that even if it were only by nature of him working around, that dust tracing would not still be there. Is there a way to make that make sense?

I'm pretty sure that Loki from Ep 1 appears in Ep 4 in the loom room during the point in time where OB and Casey are working on the throughput multiplier solution together down in OB's shop. I agree...Loki has got me excited about the entire multiverse saga as Loki is bringing back the mystery and the tension that we've seen in the best of the MCU entries over its history. I'm so curious to see how this season ends and how Loki season 3 might play out!

Looking more and more like your timeline theory is correct! You should do the interview! Bring pictures! I find a similarity between lokis story and odin’s story which we learned about in Ragnarok. He was violent and dishonest and his conquering was in blood…apparently not like his father, Bor. But somehow he learned at some point and saw what he became, confined Hela and made an Asgard that protected the nine realms. That cut scene from ragnarok where Odin says Loki is like he (odin) was…full of storms. And Loki was born to be king. But if odin saw himself in Loki, that also explains why he favored Thor. And now we see Loki becoming more like Odin…learning about himself and wanting to protect, not destroy.

Wow...very interesting points about Loki and Odin's stories. That's fascinating. And I really appreciate your faith in me to be good in an interview...more faith than I have in myself. lol! I may do it one day. I'm better at being the "man behind the curtain" and letting the vids be the focus. I just fear I'd be terrible doing an in person interview. But it was so nice of them to ask! I cannot believe they subverted expectations like that. I would have never have guessed that Victor would die. I imagine next episode we will see something like Loki using the time stone or we will see season 1 and 2 loop again but Loki realising he’s done this all before. Cannot wait to see whats next!

What if this WAS the original season 2 finale? But then Marvel decided to add 2 more episodes, and chopped the first 4 episodes in editing to turn them into just 2, explaining the uneven pacing at the start of the season, and why this episode felt like a finale.
