The only thing that could have possibly made this better is the Rolling Stones original Paint it Black - but I'm old, so ignore that, words are the same, but The Stones did it better (this version at least isn't offensive, but I'd never heard it before - thanks for the "pants pack info" otherwise I might never have found who that band was, but yeah I had to go listen to it and educate myself a bit, I've heard worse covers, this one was alright, still think the original was better though, sorry) - but this video IS awesome .... I have no idea what I did that the algorithm suddenly decided to introduce me to you, but I think this one is actually a win for that bloody algorithm (bloody thing usually just recommends crap or stuff that's 7 years old!), I've watched about 5 of your video's, and I'm subscribing, and going on a binge!!! ​@@ALCHEMYedits Yeah I'm kinda a freak - I have a brain injury, I broke it LOL, I take some getting used to because of it (totally fucked with my communication skills) - don't worry, I don't pop up often --- I can see what you were going for thematically, and while I agree, I kinda don't too, Jagger's voice gives the original an edge that no cover seems to come near, I get why the music seems a bit 'up beat' - but that was the juxtaposition of the original in the first place, how the darkness was over-riding something that shouldn't have been, the darkness of depression, the disinterest in women, etc riding against an upbeat tempo with a damn sitar in it, no matter what's going on, he can't love his life ... I didn't dislike the vocalists voice, but I wouldn't say she gave it the same 'edge' vocally, although the music was a darker tone, gotta give you that ... Yes, I'm a bit of an old school music nerd, my father used to think it fun to wake me up by rearranging his sound system and blasting songs like Paint it Black at me to wake me up (I am NOT a morning person), so I learned to love them so I could go back to sleep even with the sound maxed out and a speaker in my doorway, I can sleep through just about anything thanks to him, that made RAAF fun, god I got kicked awake a lot - now I fall asleep to anything from hard rock through to metal LOL he so screwed me up, no wonder I turned goth when I got my freedom back in my late 20's, not that that lasted long, broke too much shit and if you go clubbing and think 'those kids need to be taken home, tucked into bed and read a bedtime story' you KNOW you're too old for that club! But also, now that I've broken over 50 bones and my brain, I'm kinda too lazy dye my hair and do my make-up and hell, some colour even found it's way into my wardrobe along with some sensible shoes (LOL) so I'm a 'normie' again LOL .... and no, just no, you will never get a 'normal' comment from me - accept it or block me (telling me to shut up has the same effect, I respect people can't handle me, I'm fucking weird!) LOL, or just laugh, it's how I survive - given the choice between laugh or cry, go with laugh - mind you radiologists WILL look at you weird when you go for an x-ray and you see that after falling backwards in a hole, your ankle is literally the size of a tennis ball and instead of freaking out, you laugh (I did that 3 weeks ago, broke 2 toes, my heal and chipped a chunk off my ankle and snapped a tendon that I can't name right off where it attaches to the bone, and did something nasty to my Achilles tendon, but hey, if ya gonna do something, do it properly LOL, but I am stuck in a moon-boot, fucking bitch of a boot! LOL Just laugh, I mean, how does one fall backwards into a hole in their own backyard that they KNOW is there? How the fuck did I manage that? I'm not going to bloody forget where my dog is digging the Mariana Trench again anytime soon that's for sure! Good thing I love that dog!!! LOL) Dr's also get confused and assume you're already on the good drugs so drug test you before giving you pain relief, asshats! (you'll also probably never get a comment that stays on topic either, broken brain! I'm gonna go away now!!!)
