I can see where people were coming from with the 'too tanky' and I am enjoying the change of pace but yeh I definitely thing somewhere in the middle would be better. Maybe keep the early game kill time but find some way to make the ttk a bit longer after mid game.

Horus is so busted. I was jungle full tank with 2 damage items. Jungle starter and hydras. I went stone of bindings 1st item. one shotting almost all game. Late game it took a little longer, but i was alot more tanky.

Im kind of on board with your opinion on 9.5 revert. I also think that the answer lies somewhere in the middle, but I personally want the same early and higher hp/def late. People (including myself) thoroughly enjoy the ability to do things early now. Snowball was great pre-9.5, but after 9.5 it has been relatively nonexistent. People like doing more than just farming in the early game, and this patch allows for that. Later in the game though, prots and hp should be higher. If tanks are more survivable late then they should be better than they are currently. Plus if squishies are more survivable it reduces the frustration of being 100-0 faster than you can react. Arguing the semantic details of what makes a MOBA seems pointless, since it is just a label. A much higher priority than making Smite a “real MOBA” is making Smite a fun game. By and large, this patch has made Smite more fun, and so is generally a success regardless of whether or not this is “how its supposed to be”

from a casual perspective, 9.5 was terrible. It helped players from dying too fast sure, but it benefitted players who are in a full party and we all know how sht matchmaking is. Because everyone was inherently more tanky, people don’t know how to deal relevant damage and by relevant damage i mean enough to threaten relics let alone killing anyone. If you factor in gods like Geb, Khepri, Aphrodite on top of Aegis and Alternative Timeline (late game). No one on that team is dying. Not to mention your chances at winning highly depends on god selection and we all know casual players don’t think, they fk all and pick any god they want. Come to find out the enemy team (full party) hand picked meta gods that synergize with each other. I also experienced the SPL special where no one wants to do anything for 20 minutes, it was incredibly boring and killed any enjoyment i had for this game.

I think the solution would be balancing between the extremes, which hi-rez will hopefully do. Snowball meta isn't fun, nor is the slow poke fest that was after 9.5. Imo they should implement the 9.5 changes, but cut them in half or so. Everyone has more hp and prots, everyone's tankier, but they aren't that tanky that it takes millions of years to kill them. I think it'd improve the gameplay greatly. But that's just my theory.

I think that as a whole for myself this update has been a lot of fun and made the game better than it’s been in years for me but I also think that this is just a tad too squishy, I agree levels like 1-5 should definitely be more Tanky but I’d take the game in this state over last patch any day

Sadly, I don't think people play Smite anymore as a MOBA, but more of a team death match game with MOBA elements. I agree, and it slowly morphed into what it is.

You make valid points but I prefer to play this game if there's a lot of killing as oppose to farming simulator for 12 mins with 4 total kills in the game and then just and F6. I even use to watch the SPL games but now they are soooo boring, hopefully this patch brings some life back into them.

people uncommonly f6'd before this patch. One of the points of 9.5 was to reduce f6 which they did. They have the statistics for it. I do agree "arena" games are more fun to watch from the spectators view.

It is bad for the game. A moba isn't call of duty or deathmatch. Even the Devs even said so. They said that the patch will make things super unbalanced so expect it to be super snowbally. They are very likely going to address time to kill in 11.7 by nerfing a lot of heroes/items.

My guy paths bad and then dies within 5 minutes and blames the revert for it 🤦♂️ my guy, the revert is filtering out all the behaviours that has always been bad but before people got away with. Smite was great for 8 seasons before the revert and is good again now.

my path wasnt bad. The enemy lvl 3 horuss rotated and my duo didn't call missing or "YO HORUS IS ROTATING WATCH OUT." I was dead regardless. The enemy picked horus to abuse his busted character in a burst meta. That wouldn't have happen if killing people at lvl 2/3 wasn't meta.
